Siem Reap
Meet in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 a.m. (in Siem Reap). Your guide will show you to a range of stops outside of Siem Reap to Kulen Mountain, one of Cambodia's most sacred mountains, with profoundly treasured ancient temples and ruins on its high plateau. The roads are quiet, small, and scenic all the way to Kulen Mountain.
Phnom Kulen National Park
Following that, we'll head to the National Park, where you'll be able to take in the scenery. Our English-speaking guide will accompany you as you explore the wide plateau of Phnom Kulen.
1000 Lingas
Then we follow the jungle paths through the vine-covered woods until we reach the River of 1000 Lingas, a collection of distinctive riverbed carvings, and Preah Ang Thom, a massive stone Buddha carved into the top of a rock located in a crowded yet atmospheric temple complex.
Kompong Phluk
Reconnoiter the countryside and the real life of Cambodian local people. Take the boat cruise to see the fishing villages, flooded forest and learn about the world’s second largest freshwater Tonle Sap Lake. Take a boat trip to ‘Kampong Phluk’ a collection of three small fishing villages in an atmospheric flooded forest setting. Cruise through the village and see unique houses on stilts, and Cambodians at work in the floating forest. Our boat will meander slowly through forest canals, allowing you to catch glimpses of flora and fauna, and see a truly beautiful eco-system.
