During this tour with the departure from Brașov and arrival in Brașov, I suggest other attractions that can be visited, between Brașov and Sighisoara if not as famous as the first ones, at least as interesting and amazing.
In contrast to the crowded castles near Brasov, this tour is more relaxed and free.

Feldioara Fortress
Marienburg fortress – Feldioara in Romanian and Földvár in Hungarian – situated at 20 kilometers from Brașov on the way to Sighisoara was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the Teutonic knights being used as their headquarter in Transylvania. During the centuries it was partially destroyed and then reconstructed many times. The last restoration was achieved between 2013 and 2017, in this way the fortress being saved from a slow but sure destruction.
Cetatea Rupea
Rupea Fortress, at about half the distance between Brașov and Sighisoara was built and expanded by the Saxons, between the 14th and the 17th centuries, on the Cohalm hill (the name coming from the volcanic rock called “Cohalm” of which the hill is made up). It was built for defence and refugee in case the enemies’ attacks. The fortress was renovated between 2010-2012 and it is an imposing presence on the national road.

5.00Florin was our guide from Brașov to Sighișoara and on the way we stopped at Marienburg and Viscri. A bonus was stopping at Rupea on our return journey. Everything was perfect. Picked and dropped off at our accommodation. Informative commentary throughout. Highlighting key sites to see. Ideas for light lunch. Recommend

5.00I highly recommend Florin's guided tour of Feldiora/Marienburg, Viscri, and Sighişoara from Braşov. I had been in Braşov for work and want to get out and see some sites I wouldn't typically be able to get to without a lot of planning. Florin was able to make everything easy, interesting and manageable. It was a side of Romania I wouldn't have been able to see without the tour. I highly recommend him.

5.00Florin is a great tour guide and a pleasant person! I made the Sighisoara tour from Brasov (Cetatea Felidoara, Cetatea Rupea, Viscri with its Church, Sighisoara) and everything was great. Proper time dedicated to every actractions, he is cautious when driving, very expert of Romanian art and story and very enjoable to spend time with! I felt like I was visiting Romania with a super-expert friend!

5.00The excursion we took was a combination of the sighisoara day trip and sibiu day trip. The guide was very knowledgable about the sights we saw along with any other questions about the history and geography of the region and was always answering any questions we had. We had a great time and I highly recommend him.

5.00We had a wonderful tour. Florin was very knowledgeable and helped us to understand Romanian history. The walking on cobblestones and climbing many stairs became difficult due to our physical condition. However, Florin took that into consideration and made adjustments for us. We had a great day and would recommend this tour

5.00Florin was a great tour guide. He picked us up right at our door and had a nice tour set up so we could see a citadel, fortified church and the town of Sighisoara. It was really a nice combination and he gave us great context and information for each of the sights. He allowed us to spend as much time as we liked seeing the sights. We had a great day with him and would highly recommend his tours.

5.00Highly recommend! Florin looked after us on this tour, super friendly and full of knowledge. He picked us up from our accommodation and we set off for the day, taking us through the Romanian country side was beautiful, we loved each stop we stopped at, we’re happy he was our guide!
