We prioritize exceptional quality and strive to provide the highest-quality snorkeling tours in Silfra. Unlike other tour operators, we operate only one snorkeling group per timeslot, ensuring an exclusive experience for our customers.
Our attention to detail is unparalleled throughout the tour. Notably, we are the sole tour operator at Silfra offering Dry Gloves, providing much greater warmth for your hands.
At the start of the tour, we provide an overview of the geological formations that have shaped Silfra’s existence, followed by a comprehensive explanation of Drysuits snorkeling.
We then enjoy the snorkeling expedition into the world’s clearest waters, guided by a personal guide for approximately 25-30 minutes and create a memory for a lifetime.
Following the unique experience, we invite you to unwind with a warm beverage of hot chocolate, accompanied by snacks and a brief chat.

5.00Only 4 in our group compared to other operators that had far bigger numbers per guide. We got such a personalised service from Hedinn - it was amazing! Really, when we looked at the other groups queuing to get in the water we felt extremely lucky to have chosen Diving Island! The equipment was also better - we had five finger gloves instead of the diving mittens that the other groups had so it was easier to manage our snorkels. It was amazing experience, we felt safe in the hands of our wonderful guide and it truly was a breathtaking experience. The water is cold but the suits keep you warm and the experience is unforgettable. Once we were out of the water Hedinn had a flask of hot chocolate and cookies for us and was such great company with lots or recommendations of what we could do next. Really, if you’re going to do this chose Diving Island. Throughly recommend.

5.00Great experience! If you plan on snorkeling in Silfra, I highly recommend this local company, who purposely keep the groups small. Hedinn was a very nice and relaxed guide, who also actively tries to beat the crowds, due to which we had the fisure all to ourselves. Equipment very good as well, including dry-gloves, which I can only imagine made all the difference! 10/10 :)

5.00Absolutely exceeded expectations! This has been a bucket list activity since I read a Nat Geo article about it years ago. From the minute I arrived to the end of the activity Hedinn was fantastic! He explained the steps without being overwhelming, offered a heated space to put the dry suit on (which was clutch in Jan), and the dry gloves were a godsend. He maintains small groups so you’re not nuts to butts. He took gorgeous pics and provided a link same day. 10/10 would recommend!

5.00The activity itself is just out of this world, the beauty of snorkelling in such clear water is just amazing. The wet suits were perfect, we were given an additional layer underneath as well as our own thin layer, we weren’t cold or wet. The dry gloves were such a blessing, they made a huge difference. We also changed afterwards in the heated van, while other tours were changing outside in the carpark. I was very grateful for this additional comfort afterwards as was my daughter. The hot chocolate and biscuits were lovely. Definitely recommend doing this activity and specifically with this company too. Their high quality equipment and attention to detail really stood out amongst other companies in the area.

5.00THIS WAS SO COOL. If you want a local feel and explore the fissure, THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. Highly recommend!!! This is a once in a lifetime experience!! This was my first time snorkeling and yes, i was terrified. But I did it! And Hedinn was amazing. He was helpful, attentive, and took amazing pictures.

5.00Iceland's best diving operator! Good equipment, and excellent service with all the adventurers. Even for those who have never dive. It is the third year in a row that I bring different groups with the same company and in 2026 I will be back! Super recommend!

5.00Super fun, was quite scared but once you got into the water it was so much fun, did the get wet at all, amazing guy got hot chocolate and cookies afterwards will definitely go again!
