Visits will also include a tour of the garden and woods where John played as a child allowing a chance for spiritual exploration.

A brilliant informative head set tour/experience of both the interactive gallery and the gardens. Particularly impressive engraved pathway plaque we had purchased earlier for placement around the bandstand path.

We spent a lovely few hours here at tranquil Strawberry Field next to where John Lennon grew up. It is located a short drive outside of the Liverpool Mersey dock area and was once the site of a stately Victorian house and home of the Salvation Army. It is filled with historical information about the founding of the Salvation Army and its impact today, as well as a Beatles pictorial history. There are peaceful outdoor gardens to walk about and an indoor cafe and gift shop. The facilities are suitable for individuals with disabilities. It is well worth visiting for serious Beatles fans!

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza at the ducks. Fantastic place. Good food, lovely staff. Went on Ferry across the Mersey and hop on hop off bus. Our guide Viv was hilarious. Next day took the train to Chester. Lovely place and friendly people.

Wonderful audio. Seeing the piano was the highlight and the gardens looked great covered in autumn leaves. Not a huge exhibition but gave a good idea of why strawberry fields were so important to Liverpool and John.

Went to Strawberry Fields today. On John Lennons 85th birthday. And who should be there but the Quarrymen performing! Wonderful. Also saw the exhibition of the Salvation Army and how Strawberry Fields all started. This included John Lennons childhood and how he used to go to S Fields from Aunt Mimis house which was round the corner

If you are a Beatles fan then you must visit this place. When you tour the garden you can understand why John used to escape to here, it’s so tranquil and peaceful. The exhibition is a fascinating history of Strawberry Fields with the piano John wrote his classic Imagine on and also there is his first draft lyrics of the Beatles classic Strawberry Fields Forever. The staff are helpful and very friendly, and if you don’t mind putting on a few pounds then visit the restaurant. A great place to visit if your in Liverpool.
