Our guide was great & accommodated us with picture taking at the alaska canads border & explaining entry into Canada. As well as travelogue of what we were passing. He regaled us with amusing tales of Skagway too. The gold panning takes place at the dog mush location. We were unaware and hopped on the van, only to spend the next few minutes wondering why we were alone. Then I noticed a trough and folks panning. We went back but by then missed the instructions. The only thing lacking would have been a quick overview of the sequence of events. Overall, it was great fun, the mush experience of having our jeep pulled by 11 dogs a totally unforgettable experience, shared with our driver who had done an Iditarod race. Its definitely family friendly. & who.diesnt like puppies!

We were picked up from the cruise timely and no issues there. The drive was long but Chris was very entertaining and informative. He's definitely top notch. That said when you arrive it's really added a beat up looking place. The entry is uninviting. The building is diminutive, no heat, and only snacks to eat. Nothing provided complimentary. Seeing the dogs was nice. You are taken on a quad 4x4 off-road vehicle with a metal roof attached to sled dogs via ropes. The dogs are not pulling you at all. The 4x4 is driven by the driver so you cannot experience the force of the animals. You're paying top dollar for this experience but I don't think it's there. Needs a lot of work to be a true experience which is what it should be at top dollar. Not going to give suggestions. They can figure it out.

Had a wonderful time petting puppies, dog-sledding and panning for gold. We had a wonderful day with Tyler as tour guide. I love that he stopped a few times for photo ops. I definitely recommend this experience.

Nice experience to learn more about the Iditarod. Loved the time with the puppies. Panning for gold was okay.
