Stowe
Our 5-Day tour begins with customer pick-up in Burlington (Monday at 9:00 AM) at your hotel. Our first day will be spent in Waterbury and Stowe, where we will visit a number of popular local attractions. Treat your taste buds at the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and Cold Hollow Cider Mill, then visit the historic Trapp Family Lodge — the same Von Trapp family that inspired The Sound of Music. Our Vermont tours visit only the most interesting locations, such as a scenic drive to the top of Smugglers’ Notch State Park. You will also have a chance to explore Stowe village, where lunch is available for purchase. This day ends with customer drop-off at their hotel in Killington.
Lodging for this package is included at the Snowed Inn in Killington, VT.

Woodstock
Day 2 begins with a drive to nearby historic Woodstock, Vermont. A guided tour through Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Mansion will be lead by a ranger from the National Park Service. (This mansion is of historical significance, and also contains a large collection of Hudson River School paintings.) Lunch is available for purchase in downtown Woodstock, followed by free time to explore the local sites, such as art galleries, historical houses, and a covered bridge. Our next destination will be Simon Pearce glassblowing studio in Quechee. From hand-thrown pottery to lead-free crystal glassware made with custom molds and purpose-built furnaces, each handcrafted piece carries a story that lends meaning, authenticity, and grace to every use. Here you will witness an in-person glassblowing demonstration. Our last stop of the day will be at the 165-foot deep Quechee Gorge (Vermont’s deepest glacial gorge), which formed some 13,000 years ago.
Lodging for this package is included at the Snowed Inn in Killington, VT.

Weston
On this day, you will have the unique opportunity to visit the Calvin Coolidge Homestead, in historic Plymouth, Vermont. Plymouth has remained virtually unchanged since the early 1900’s, and occupies a unique place in US history: our 30th President was born there (1872), was sworn into office there (1923), and is buried there (1933). In this historic village, you will get the rare opportunity to tour the house in which he grew up, the general store, church, and a number of barns that display important antique farming tools. Just up the road you will find the Plymouth Cheese Factory, where you will have the chance to purchase many fantastic locally made cheeses. (Plymouth Cheese Factory was established by the President’s father, and is one of the oldest operating cheese factories in the United States!) Lunch is available for purchase in Ludlow, as we make our way to Weston’s historic Vermont Country Store. The Vermont Country Store offers thousands of hard-to-find products.
Lodging for this package is included at the Snowed Inn in Killington, VT.

Montpelier
Day 4 begins with a trip to Montpelier, Vermont’s capital city. There we will take a guided tour of the State House (one of the nation’s oldest and best preserved state capitols still in use), with a dedicated tour guide who will teach us some history and be available to answer questions. From there we will drive scenic VT RT 100 to the Village of Warren. Two of the most popular natural attractions in this area are stunning views from the top of Appalachian Gap, and Moss Glen Falls (one of Vermont’s most photogenic waterfalls). Lunch is available for purchase at the Warren Store, a uniquely Vermont experience with great local food. The Warren Store features its own deli, bakery, wine shop, and gift store. It is situated on the Mad River, which makes for some truly relaxing scenery. The Warren Covered Bridge (which is within walking distance from the store) crosses the Mad River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Shelburne
On our final day of the tour, we will travel North to Shelburne, Vermont, for a visit to two locations: Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms. Shelburne Museum features 39 buildings on 40 acres and over 150,000 works of art, including paintings, antiques, textiles, antique tools, and more. One of our favorite attractions there is the Steamboat Ticonderoga, a 220-foot National Historic Landmark that portrays life on the ship as it was in 1923. A tour through Shelburne Museum is self-guided; you will have plenty time to explore the exhibits at your own pace. Lunch is available for purchase on the premises. After that, we will visit Shelburne Farms, a nonprofit education center for sustainability, 1,400 acres working farm, and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain. Our tour will conclude at the end of the day with drop-off (Friday 4:00 PM) at your hotel or the Burlington International Airport.

Considering Vermontology? DO IT! Our travel experience with Vermontology was second to none. From our first phone conversation prior to booking thru the final day of the tour, owner Natalia was patient, informative, kind and humorous. Her knowledge of the area and Vermont history is commendable. Each attraction we visited was more interesting than the previous. At each, Natalia was greeted by name and with a warm welcome. So deserving! Vermontology also provided superior accommodations provided at Snowed Inn. Think no further, make your reservation today!

Come meet your new great friend! Natalia's tour was just excellent. We saw places and did things we would have totally missed without her expert knowledge and guidance. I think she knows everybody in Vermont.

I waited 15 years to go to Vermont (waited for hubby to retire) and I could not have been happier with our trip. Natalia picked us up every morning at the B&B and off we'd go to see a new place and learn some new things. Natalia had oodles of information about the area that she shared with us as we'd drive from spot to spot. She even took us off the "tourists path" a few times to show us some beautiful scenery. But we also saw all the things you think of when you plan to go to Vermont (and a few more).I was so glad not to drive and to just be able to sit and enjoy the scenery. I personally think it's the best way to visit Vermont, especially for the first time. I recommend it and hope I get to tour with Natalia again someday.

Vermont Tour Vermont, one of the few states we had not visited, what better time than try to catch the fall colors. We first considered doing a self-driving tour. Then I found Vermontology on Trip Advisor, a small group tour. We selected the five-day tour. Before embarking the advantages were leave the driving to the tour guide, meet new people and learn about the local culture. We met another charming couple for a total of four plus Natalia; perfect for traveling together for five days. As we started the tour we soon found that Natalia would meet our original interests. As the tour continued, she added so much more to the Vermont experience. Hitting peak leaf season, the first week of October, we learned that Vermonters call us “Leaf Peepers” and would have to dodge the many busses full of Leaf Peepers. Well, she excelled at juggling times and places to avoid the busses. We never felt overly crowded. She gave us choices to match our interests. She showed us off-the-beaten-path places we would never have found on our own. Every day was a new experience learning the Vermont culture and the local idiosyncrasies of the areas visited. You can read the daily itineraries on Vermontology.com web site. What you will learn: How to buy a special doughnut, The best “Creemee”, what Vermonters do on their many spectacular covered bridges and how to make a leaf angel; just to name a few. The tour included a four night stay a the “Snowed Inn” a small, charming boutique inn in Killington run by a most delightful and accommodating couple. We felt like best of friends and family by Natalia and the inn keepers, Carolyn & Ken. You won't go wrong selecting this tour. Lyle & Jeanne

What an amazing introduction to Vermont! Natalia had each day planned with a nice balance of history, nature and background information. All we had to do was show up! She is a passionate and knowledgeable champion for this beautiful state-and a fun person to spend time with. She really worked to accommodate our needs (limited hills and walking) and added items of interest just for us. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend.

My husband and I took Natalia's 5-day tour of Vermont to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a very wonderful and memorable celebration. Natalia is a warm, charming host and on the first day became a friend as well as a tour guide. She quickly learned what we liked best and made sure to provide plenty of opportunities, based on our preferences. We experienced so much of Vermont -- from the scenery to the local cuisine, to information about EVERYTHING. Natalia's love of Vermont is contagious and now we love it too. Natalia booked us at The Snowed Inn, a perfect inn for the perfect vacation. We extended our stay for 2 nights and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the innkeeper and owners of the inn. We're looking forward to celebrating our next big anniversary with Natalia!

I was lucky to have Natalia as my private guide for the five day tour. She was terrific - prompt, professional, continuously upbeat and a great driver. I especially appreciated our drives down all the most beautiful country roads and getting to know the nooks and crannies of the villages and their surrounding scenery off of Route 100, all of which she knows intimately. As a first time visitor and senior traveling solo, for me this was an ideal way to take a deep dive into Vermont and its really unique and historical character.
