Our guide provided an abundance of knowledge on all levels. Good pace, perfect English, good sense of humour and lots of interesting facts. We would highly recommend it. Top class.

A very interesting walking tour done with Madawa over and through the Dutch fort in Galle. He is a local guide, speaks good English and can tell a lot about the colonial past, without it becoming boring. Takes extensive time and has good tips for activities nearby. Tour takes about 1.5/2 hours, but time flies by! Definitely recommended!

Excellent tour which we could not recommend highly enough! The tour was given in a conversational manner, meaning that we could ask questions as we went. The guide was really personable with a wealth of knowledge on the area, the fort and Sri Lanka as a whole!

This was a fascinating walk through Galle as we learnt about the compelling history of the fort. Our guide was fantastic - he had such knowledge of Galle, and pointed out various historical features, which really helped to bring the fort to life! I particularly enjoyed learning about the architectural dynamics, with the fort having both Dutch and Portuguese influence. I would definitely recommend this walking tour if you’re keen to get to the heart of Galle!
