What To Expect

Foothills Parkway

After arriving at the designated meeting point, you’ll board your jeep for a fun excursion along the Foothills Parkway and through the Smokey Mountains. Took this tour last year and it was Great! So I decided to share this experience with my family this year. I booked for six of us. At first our tour agent wasn’t going to take us on the off rode tour, he had told us that it was very muddy back there. I told him that when we went on the tour last year it was raining all day but that wasn’t an issue, in fact it was perfect. So he went inside the building and came back out and was like we will see how it looks. We ended up doing the jeep ride and when we went back there it was extremely dry only one tiny puddle of water, very tiny. So he lied to us because there’s no way it would have been that dry if it was as muddy as he said it was. No drainage would have had it that dry! That jeep ride is the high light of the whole tour! Second we didn’t stop at the shop to buy ice cream and fried pies .there were different stores that we went in last year. But this time we went in this shop that where you can get a free cup of coffee. I asked him were we going to stop at that shop that sells tons of souvenirs, ice cream and the fried pies and different snakes and he said no that this was a different route, which was also a lie, this was the same exact route we went on last year, in fact we passed right by that shop I was asking him about. Foothills was the tour we did last year and foothills was the tour I booked for my family and I this year. He was rushing to get back for his next tour so he deprived us on our tour. The tour guide we had last year was awesome! We really enjoyed it last year but this year it was just ok! I wanted my family to enjoy it the way we got to enjoy it last year and that didn’t happen. We paid around $800 for this tour last year and this year and I feel like we didn’t get our money worth this year! I would recommend this tour but advise you to make sure you get what you paid for. I thought I was getting the same as last year and it should have been had our tour guide hadn’t lied to us!

Richard and Meatball were great! We enjoyed all of the beautiful stops to see waterfalls and Mountain Views! Richard was accommodating and friendly, and took many pictures of our group! Even saw a black bear!

Great time on this tour. National Park and surrounding area were amazing and our guide/driver Richard was brilliant. Also other guests on our tour were friendly and really enjoyed it.
