Travel north into the first Chianti hills and take a walk around Monteriggioni, a medieval and perfectly preserved fortress with a complete ring of city walls and turrets built in the 13th century and mentioned by Dante in his Divine Comedy: this was once Siena’s main bastion of defense against the armies of Florence. Enjoy its quiet and charming atmosphere browsing the alleys and shops of local crafts and products, or lighting a candle in the local church as the pilgrim's once did.

William was a great tour guide/driver. Our group of 6 from US, India and Australia. We got along very well. We all were on time at every stop. Great itinerary, lunch was delicious, tour guide gave history not only of Italy but of Monteriggioni, San Gimignano as well as Voltera. We recommend the tour and especially William!

Great tour with very knowledgeable guide Keco was amazing with his history and experience of the area. The towns were beautiful and the lunch was fantastic- home made very tasty food and beautiful wine. Highly recommended

“William” was a wonderful guide. Full of enthusiasm and historical facts! The lunch was wonderful at the winery. The scenery absolutely beautiful. Worth every penny.
