Bring the family for one of Whistler’s most unique summer activities – summer bobsleigh! Youth (12-18) get 50% off with a full paying adult (2:1 ratio). Please book any additional kids as adults.
No experience is required.
After an orientation and a tour of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games venue including an exclusive track walk, your team will ride in a bobsleigh equipped with wheels, driven by a trained pilot, through twists and turns with speeds of up to 90km/hr. Summer Bobsleigh runs rain or shine, so it’s the perfect addition to your time in Whistler, whatever the weather.
Travelers have to meet certain age, weight & height requirements (must be over 12 years old, weigh between 85lb (39kg) and 285lb (129kg), and must be between 4’6” (137cm) and 6’5” (196cm) in height).

The Olympic sport of bobsleigh is a true bucket list activity that is only available to the public at very few sliding tracks in the world, with no experience required. The Whistler Sliding Centre is the only track in Canada to offer the activity, in winter on ice (together with the Olympic sliding sport skeleton) and in summer on wheels. The Whistler Sliding Centre is a non-profit organization, and all proceeds from public programs go directly towards growing sport and supporting bobsleigh, skeleton and luge athletes who train on the track.

4.00Informative.... good to learn about the track how it was built, how it's maintained and the different events it hosts. The ride itself is fun but be prepared it can be a little uncomfortable!

5.00A once in a lifetime experience! My husband was looking forward to this more than anyone, but we all had the BEST time. The information about the track was interesting and we enjoyed learning about the sport prior to the ride down the track. I did purchase five tickets, but then discovered at the sliding center my youngest (10) wasn't able to ride down the track. Children must be 12 yo, 85 pounds, and also meet the height requirement (I forget how tall). This wasn’t clear (or I completely missed it) in the description on the Viator site. So I’m currently asking for a refund for her ticket. We completely understood the situation the sliding center was in, but my youngest was pretty disappointed she couldn’t go down the track. She was still able to walk out and listen to all the information about the sport. When it came time for our ride, a worker drove her to the bottom where she would meet up with us. Overall, a fabulous time. We encouraged our daughters to come back one day when they are older so the youngest can experience the thrill!

4.00Such a fun experience. Not sure if the fine print in the waiver mentions that your head uncontrollabley hits the bob sled sides but ouch... Still so pleased we got to experience the spead and thrill of it. Great guides. Cool running

5.00Really enjoyed this. Guide/pilots were informative. The walk along the bobsleigh run was great. Gives you a real taste of what the professionals go through - speed, forces and bumps
