This experience shows an authentic native town of the Oaxacan coast. We will ride through landscapes that show agricultural production and livestock sites that define the economic and cultural base of my community.
The horse trail includes river, lagoon and beach, this route shows the skills of the horse before the variables of the terrain.We will visit an estuary where the lagoon joins the Pacific Ocean. This visit will be useful to understand the existence of bioluminescence in the manialtepec lagoon.
I promise it will be a great experience full of adventure and learning

once we reach our starting point to meet our horses, we will ride along the manialtepec river between fields of livestock and agriculture. We will arrive at the union of the river and the lagoon where we will cross the horses to the beach to ride in front of the sea to enjoy a spectacular sunset. We will visit a cabin of a native family on the beach where you can buy drinks and enjoy some delicious shrimp or fish if you wish.

1.00Carlos called hours before our pick up time, and said they were overbooked. We had booked this activity 6 months in advance on GetYourGuide.com. He did not refund us, even though we had discussed it several times.

1.00We have been waiting to get picked up for over an hour in the heat. We called 3 times and are still getting a hard time to get our money back. Awful experience.

1.00I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY! absolutely HORRIBLE experience! we booked this adventure a week in advance and was informed at the very last minute that we were cancelled because it was overbooked! This was a birthday surprise adventure for my wife and it NEVER happened! Carlos is horrible when it comes to business practices and should be banned from Trip Advisor DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

1.00Absolute disappointment. I booked and paid this trip and also got a booking confirmation with pick-up time. However, they never showed up. After trying numerous times, I Finally got someone on the phone who told me there were no trips that day. I got my money refunded but my last day in Puerto Escondido was ruined. As I read in the reviews that this has happened before, I strongly advies you to book through another firm!

4.00The trip was not available due to high water in the lagoon, so they offered me the horseriding to the hot springs. It was great! Willy is such a friendly guide. There were no drinks included though, so bring your own.
Tour guide did not show up for confirmed activity - sent no explanation/communication whatsoever

1.00We ended up wasting our last evening in front of our accommodation for this tour guide to pick us up for a confirmed (and paid for) reservation- received no updates/cancellation message. After booking the experience and getting confirmation, the organizers got in touch with us via WhatsApp saying that the experience was no longer available on that day and rescheduled for two days later. We confirmed multiple times (including one day before the experience) that the activity would go ahead as it was our last day in Puerto Escondido and we really wanted to experience this. We were assured that the activity was confirmed. On the day, they did not come to pick us up and did not reply to any of our messages. Had they communicated to us that the experience would not happen we would have booked another experience or found another organizer. We have thankfully received a full refund but not our time that these guys wasted with poor communication. Hopefully this is an isolated incident (and yes we have screenshots of all communication with them).

5.00It was a bit further out than we had expected, about 40 m from puerto Escondido, but the drive is pleasant given they pick you up in an air conditioned car. The ride was so sweet, along a trail, then across a river in a boat while the horses swim over (they’re great swimmers) and then onto the beach for a gallop around for awhile before heading back again. On the way home there were fireflies and it was amazing for us given we don’t have these in Australia. Our guide was super helpful and looked after our every moment- an expert rider and horseman. Great fun
