With Tamarindo Surf & Tours you'll have two hours of fun living the local, Costa Ricain surf experience you've been dreaming about. Your instructor will give you plenty of instruction and tips both in and out of the water for you to get very good chances of catching plenty of waves. We guarantee you will enjoy your lesson with us. Surfing is all about having fun and living in the moment, and that is our number one goal for you.
- Lockers, showers, bathroom and changing room available.
- Lessons are available in French, English, and Spanish.
- You can easily meet your instructor in front of Walter's restaurant.
- Surfboards and rash guards are provided, so there's no need to rent them.
- This experience is suitable for all ages and skill levels, and children are welcome.
- Your guide will be informative, friendly, and professional.

Upon your arrival at the surf school, we'll start to select the ideal board and rash guard tailored to your needs. Following that, we'll begin with a informative theory lesson on land, covering safety protocols and how to get up on the board. Once everyone feels ready and confident, we'll head out in the the waves, spending the remainder of our time catching and riding them to perfection! Once you're in the water, your instructor will be your surf buddy, dishing out tips to help you level up your surf game as we go. They'll ensure you're not just safe but having a blast, and soon enough, you'll be catching your very first wave!

5.00We took our 20 year old grandson for his first surf lesson today and it was a wonderful experience. His instructor David gave him excellent instruction and before his time was up he was up on the board and successfully surfed in to the beach. Would highly recommend!

5.00Really a great experience! We were accompanied by Tony, Gustavo, Jayden, Isaac, Fatima and Sofia. Very nice experience, the children were well accompanied, they took the time to explain everything to us and make the proper demonstrations. Very friendly! I would definitely recommend Tamarindo surf and tours!

5.00Booked a lesson for my 2 sons, 17 and 13. They loved it. They have never surfed before and they now want to do it at home. The instructor was very kind and encouraging and 20 minutes in my boys felt confident enough to stand up. Would definitely do this again if we had a chance.

5.00Had a blast doing this. Did not know what to expect as we had never surfed before. My husband got the hang of it pretty quickly. I stood up 3x and that's a lot for me and my two left feet 😂. Thank you Max, we had a blast!

5.00This was such a fun experience! Jeremy was our instructor and he was so helpful in learning how to surf as it was our first time! He was patient and very nice! 10/10 would recommend! We even came back the next day to rent surf boards to keep practicing

5.00Everyone was so cool and helpful. Brian was an amazing teacher. So much fun and so chill. I’m convinced they can get anyone surfing. We had the best time and will go out with them next year and every chance we get.
