• Amazing Food Tour with Skyler

  Our Secret Food Tour guide, Skyler, was awesome — very friendly, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable about the foods in Taipei. She clearly has a passion for showing people around the city and introducing them to hidden food spots. Skyler really interacted with us, took the time to understand our favorite foods, and asked what we hoped to get out of the tour. The food stops were fantastic. Without the tour, we would never have discovered these places or had the chance to try these dishes. The Taiwanese Meatballs in Southern Sauce and the Scallion Pancake with Egg and Basil were delicious, and we absolutely loved the authentic Taiwanese bubble tea. After the tour, Skyler even followed up with an email summarizing our experience and sharing additional recommendations, which we really appreciated. One thing we wish could be improved is having direct communication with the tour guide instead of going through Viator. Our flight was delayed by three hours, so we arrived at the meeting point five minutes late. By then, Skyler and the group had already left, though they were probably not too far away. We believe we could have caught up much more easily if we had direct contact with her. Unfortunately, communication through Viator was not very efficient, and we were unable to join the group until 1 hour and 15 minutes later, which meant we missed the first two food stops. We hope Viator can improve this process in the future.

  This was definitely a foodie tour with a taste of a lot of the local favorites. It exceeded our expectations on many fronts including variety, portions and local favorites. Julie was truly an exceptional guide who enjoyed introducing us to the various dishes, as well as explaining the relevance of each one. She was prepared and timed our arrivals perfectly. The time went so fast, no one walked away hungry & we felt we learned a lot about the culture as it related to the foods. We highly recommend this tour.

  Skyler was awesome! Lots of different foods to try so be sure to go hungry, but it was a fun experience!

  Definitely come hungry for this tour because you’ll eat a lot. Julie was so sweet and welcoming, and she did a great job explaining each dish and the stories behind the food. Everything was delicious, and the pace felt just right. Highly recommend!

  Julia was so great, we had these amazing little snacks, plenty of food for dinner. She knew a lot about the culture in the area. It was great to get a little taste of Taipei.

  We had so much fun with this tour! All the food we tried was amazing and our guide Sky was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had someone with minor mobility problems as well as two young kids with us and Sky was as patient and sweet as could be to them. She even ordered chocolate buns instead of the normal savory ones at one stop for the kids without prompting, which was super considerate. It was a great experience overall!

  Such a great street food tour. Skyler was an amazing tour guide. Had some of the best street food I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10 recommend if you are traveling to Taipei.

  Nice intro to the market and street food. Guide was friendly and had the tour planned out well, we never waited more than 10 minutes for food anywhere.
