did this tour on my first day in Taipei. Sky was a lot of fun to be with, she was a great guide. We had 8 food-tasting stops, so you really need to come with an empty stomach. Highly recommended for a first taste of Taiwanese cuisine!

Julie was our tour guide for this fun Food Tour in the Da'an District of Taipei. She fed us well - by the end we were stuffed with tasty food, most of which we had never had before (I hope you get to try Aiyu if you take this tour.) She is bilingual; her answers to all of our questions were thoughtful and articulate. The Da'an neighborhood was fun to wander through, and it is a lively place! We recommend this food tour highly.

This tour ended up being a mixed experience. Our guide, Julie, was genuinely kind, polite, and friendly, and she clearly tried to keep the group engaged. However, several aspects of the tour were disappointing and detracted from the overall value. From the very beginning, we were repeatedly told that there would be “a lot of food” and that we should feel free to share. In reality, the portions were not excessive, especially for a food tour at this price point. The continued emphasis on sharing, even before we had seen the food, felt unnecessary and increasingly off putting. What made this uncomfortable was not the idea of sharing itself, which can be reasonable on food tours, but how persistently it was pushed relative to the actual amount of food provided. It created an awkward dynamic within the group and made the experience feel constrained rather than enjoyable. Because the messaging did not align with the portions served, it raised questions about transparency and whether guests were receiving what was advertised. I am not making an accusation, but it left me uneasy as a paying guest. Additionally, the tour was advertised as approximately 3.5 hours, yet the entire experience wrapped up in just about 2 hours. The walking pace felt rushed throughout. While this was manageable for me as an active gymgoer, it did not match the expectation set by the listing and would likely be challenging or disappointing for less active participants. More importantly, it felt like a significant shortfall in what was promised, which made the experience feel rushed and, frankly, a bit cheated. Julie herself was kind, and this feedback is more about the structure, pacing, and execution of the tour rather than her demeanor. With more accurate expectations around duration, a more relaxed pace, and less pressure around food sharing, this tour could deliver much better value and a more enjoyable experience overall.

This was a great tour. We made so many stops and tried so many different kinds of foods I lost count. Needless to say I have a big appetite and was full by the end. Our tour guide Skyler was great!

Skylar was an excellent host/guide. Her energy was contagious. The food stops were varied and delicious. I can still taste the Taiwan Fried Chicken! I highly recommend this tour.
