Arusha National Park is located just 45 minutes outside the city center. It's a multifaceted jewel that is often overlooked! Standing in the shadows of the more famous parks of Northern Tanzania, this park is rarely visited. Yet this very circumstance is what makes Arusha National Park so worthwhile.
Spend your day inside Arusha National Park with game drive in an open-roofed 4x4 safari vehicle! Also get out of the car and explore the park on foot during a guided walking safari. A wonderful opportunity to experience wildlife from a different perspective!
While there are no large predators in Arusha National Park, you can still expect to came across a variety of wildlife. Visit Ngurdoto Crater - home to large herds of buffaloes, bush-bucks, warthogs and zebras. Drive through a lush rain forest always on the lookout for Arusha's famous black-and-white colobus monkeys. Enjoy a splendid view onto the Momella lakes which boast a large variety of waterfowls with seasonal flamingos.

5.00We experienced an incredible great tour with the team of Safari Bug in October 2025 as a family. Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorogoro, Serengeti and Zanzibar - everything was perfectly planned and left nothing to be desired! The advice and organization in advance, the provision of information and the always excellent and fast response to questions from Sandra were outstanding!!! The quality of the vehicle, the flexibility and commitment of the guide and the personal touch have made this trip an absolutely unforgettable experience. A very special thanks goes to Jeremiah, who was great with the children and always had an answer ready with his extensive knowledge (and to the distress of his rolling natural history library). Thanks again!!!

5.00We were out with our guide Godfrey, it was a fantastic experience to be able to observe the many different vegetation and animals. The tours are super organized, accommodation and flights and everything organizational is taken care of. In the run-up, we were reassembled several times until it really suited us and all this always with a lot of friendliness and patience. We can recommend Tanzania Safari Bug 100%. We were traveling with our guide Godfrey, it was a fantastic experience being able to observe the many different vegetation and animals. The tours are extremely well organized, accommodations and flights and everything organizational is taken care of for you. The tour was re-arranged for us several times in advance until it really worked for us and always with a lot of kindness and patience. We can 100% recommend Tanzania Safari Bug.

5.00We want to say thank you again. Thank you for making our dream come true. From the super fast, individual advice and planning, to the emergency contact on site , if you get flights cancelled again, everything was there. We have never felt left alone and have been welcomed as warmly as on any trip before. Our guide Erik was super prepared and always open to our ideas. Everything is tuned to the smallest detail. You it a tablecloth at snack in between or our sweet welcome gifts. You can just tell that professionals are at work here! We would definitely blindly recommend you to anyone who wants to go on a safari in Tanzania

5.00For 2.5 weeks we toured the various national parks with Tanzania Safari Bug on the Northern Circuit. Tanzania Safari Bug was recommended to us by an acquaintance who went on a safari with them last year. We were very nice and competently informed and advised by Sandra from the beginning. She has put together a trip tailored to our wishes. We would like to thank our driver/guide Frank again for his prudent way of driving, his knowledge he shared with us about animals, plants etc. and for the great humor that connected us throughout the trip. Frank, we wish you all the best for the future and you know you are always welcome in Switzerland! We really hope to see you again. In all lodges and tent camps we were also warmly welcomed and the joie de vivre of the locals impressed us again and again. 5.00If you are looking for an individually planned trip without bulk handling, Tanzania Safari Bug is the right place. We have been out as a family of four with 2 teenagers 17 days, 12 days safari, 4 days Mafia Island. We hardly took care of the planning, only provided key data and left the rest in Sandra's hands. We weren't disappointed. The trip was detailed and well planned and we could just drop back and enjoy. We stayed in wonderful accommodations with great food (despite 2 x celiac disease), saw wonderful, very varied scenery (from rainforest, volcanic landscape to steppe) and lots of animals. In the end we could relax in the solitude of Mafia Island without much hustle and bustle. Sandra was always approachable in advance, whether by WhatsAPP or by phone. Our driver Jeremiah was a force, absolutely professional, knew very well about animals and landscape, we learned a lot about the country and people through him and above all laughed a lot. This is important because you spend a lot of time together and if you have sometimes seen drivers from other organisations, you know that is not a given. In summary, Tanzania Safari Bug can be absolutely recommended as a small local family business, good planning, individual and personal but still very professional. All without hooks.

5.00Fantastic! Safari Bug made sure everything was taken care of. The experiences were incredible, lodging was exceptional and our driver, Frank Winstone, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and courteous - not to mention a great driver! I’m ready to go again.

5.00Dream holiday Tanzania Safari Bug was recommended to us by friends. We contacted Sandra and Michael by email and were able to arrange a phone call as soon as possible. The care was perfect, from start to finish.We expressed all our wishes, and everything was also taken into account. Also that it was our honeymoon. We got our own surprise from Tanzania Safari Bug. For us a romantic sunset was organized, with a very nice map and small attentions. Upon arrival we were picked up by our guide Erick. Erick accompanied us for 7 days and made the safari, for us, perfect. We could see everything close enough, but always with distance and respect to the animals. Erick was able to answer all our questions and even in German. Am 3. Hi, on the way to Tarangire National Park we finally got to know Sandra and Michael personally, we discussed everything, also at the end of the safari. Sandra was always available via WhatsApp. Even after the holiday she asked if we arrived home well. Very well organized! We can only recommend Tanzania Safari Bug. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Thanks to Sandra, Michael and Erick we had a perfect honeymoon.
