Our tour with Daniel was a highlight of our Guadalajara trip: we learned, we laughed, we ate and drank while touring the beautiful countryside and small towns of the Tequila region. Daniel went above and beyond to provide a unique experience for us, stopping along the way to introduce us to pre-columbian beverages and taking us directly into an agave farm to meet a jimador and try our hand at agave pina harvesting. The tour was intimate with only one other couple along. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour! Lots of learning new stuff. The pyramid part was chocked full of information that I never knew before. The museum was very nice. After that we went up to the site which is a steep hike up a cobblestone road for maybe a half of a kilometer. If you are not a strong walker, you may want to pass on this part - everyone in our group was sweating in December, after this walk to the pyramid. Next we went to the Tres Mujeres Tequila factory, this wasn't my first time at a tequila factory, but this was definitely a better experience! Due to the traffic issues in Guadalajara, this is a long tour, you will leave at 10am and won't get back before 8pm. Our tour guide Guadalupe (Lupe) was awesome!

Great if you want a small group, meaning more chance to ask questions. Daniel is very knowledgeable and friendly, and Chava who guided us at Guachimontones has firsthand archaeological experience

Great experience which focuses on history and local life. Absolutely amazing. We also did things that were not listed on the itinerary thanks to Daniel our tour guide who had great knowledge about everything.

The Tequila/Guachimontones Tour was an incredible experience that combined culture, history, and fun perfectly! Our guide, Daniel, was absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the rich heritage of the region. We learned so much about the ancient circular pyramids of Guachimontones and their fascinating history, followed by a deep dive into the art of tequila making. Daniel kept us entertained the entire time with great stories and insights, and the pace of the tour was perfect — educational but never rushed or boring. It was a fantastic way to explore both the cultural roots and local flavors of Jalisco. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area — it’s a must-do experience!

Absolutely the best- you can't beat 5 unique experiences in one full day! Our guide, Daniel, showed us another side of Mexico, beginning in the small village of Temuchitllan, the self-nominated caretakers of the round "pyramids" of Guachmontones. After a brief, pleasant stop we traveled on to Guachimontones, the site of another one of Mexico's historic disappeared civilizations. Be prepared for a rather lengthy uphill walk. Seriously. The pyramids are still being unearthed and the visible ones hide and interesting story. Onward to distillery Tequila Tres Mujeres for an informative overview of the process, followed by a tasting. Remember to sip! The trip ends at the pretty little town of Tequila where you can either do your own thing or sit down for a convivial late lunch with your fellow tourists. Daniel is knowledgeable. sweet and educative, and he imparted his concern for each locality visited. All in all a very satisfying trip.

Spent an unforgettable day touring Guachimontones, the Jalisco countryside, and the town of Tequila. Daniel shared great stories as well as his incredible store of knowledge about the area. He is a fantastic guide! While at Guachimontones, we were able to watch a performance of pre-Hispanic ritual and dance. Although this is not a regular event there, and cannot be expected on every tour, it made for an extra-special day and illustrates Daniel’s flexibility in taking advantage of the situation.
