This activity is suitable for all ages. It's a great creative activity for kids. If they're old enough to use a knife & fork then they'll be able to do this. It's also lovely as a date for couples, or as a souvenir of your Cotswold adventures for tourists. The terrariums are packaged up when done as to be taken home safely.

Aside from getting to enjoy making the terrariums in the cosy, green, Cotswold oasis, and looking out on window views of the Stable Yard, you'd also be supporting a completely independent new small business!

At the Make-Your-Own-Terrarium Bar I'll talk you through how terrariums work as the ultimate low-maintenance self sustaining eco-system. You'll learn what the role of each layer is in the jar and sit down to put it together yourself. It's a self led activity, so I won't be hovering over your shoulder watching your every move, but I'll check in periodically to help out and check everything is going well. The process of making the terrariums is simple, however the beauty of making it yourself is you can be as much of a perfectionist -or not!- as you want. Generally it takes about 25-30mins to do, but there's an hour time limit so if you want to spend a while getting the decorating perfect, go for it! The shop will be open to customers as normal whilst you're at the bar, but it is a private booking so no one can join you whilst you are making the terrariums.

We had such a wonderful experience laser clay shooting. Jez was a great host and really fed our competitive spirit. I would highly recommend to any family.

I had a great time making my terrarium at the Cotswold plant house. The lady working there was very helpful, friendly, and informative. The shop itself is small but beautiful, and I purchased some houseplants to take home as well.

What a lovely experience! We were created with a warm smile and friendly chat. The instructions were clear and simple and we were left to enjoy without over shadowing. The resources felt high quality and the whole experience was thoroughly enjoyed.

It was perfect because my partner has a very short attention span and the activity lasts just about the right time (just over an hour). Jules was lovely and down to earth.

Such a lovely 45 mins. Really relaxed and peaceful and lovely to learn a new skill. Loved the pretty shop and the warm welcome. Highly recommend this experience.

We booked our experience via TripAdvisor for a slot only an hour later, and arrived to be greeted warmly by the owner. She settled us in, and offered us on the particular occasion different size vases. It was such a lovely little shop, and the experience lasted 25-30 minutes as my friend and I made our terrariums. We had a lot of choice of flowers and helpful advice to getting started. I also ended up buying a Monstera and a fabulous sweater which is to die for. Very happy. Additionally, I hadn’t realized how soothing the experience would be, and definitely gave my mind a peaceful rest.
