Old Bazaar of Peja
It is an old marketplace in the city center of Peja established during Ottoman rule, was destroyed at least 2 times, but rebuilt after the Kosovo war, according to the historical Ottoman architecture. It is a lively market, with many types of shops and handicrafts on narrow streets with interesting history and architectural inheritance.
An old traditional house of Peja was built in the 18th century, which has also served as a "guest house" for passers-by and occasional traders from other countries, who had frequented the city of Peja for commercial purposes. Within the spaces of this house which consists of the ground floor and the first floor, there are 2 exhibitions (ethnological and archaeological) with about 2000 exhibits, which introduce the history of Peja in different periods of time starting from the Illyrian to the present day.
