5.00Ray our tour guide was fabulous. We visited the Shetland Boca National Park, Grote Kip, the Distillery and passed through downtown. We also swam with turtles. Ray our tour guide suggested a wonderful place for lunch overlooking the ocean. The food and drinks were delicious.

A Great Curaçao Tour With Ray, A Worthy Ambassador for His Island

5.00Ray, Our superbly affable and knowledgeable guide picked up our family of four adults at the Marriott Beach Resort in his very comfortable, well maintained, late model SUV. One of Ray's strengths is he lived in the Netherlands for many years and had also visited the U.S, so he could make informed comparisons of Curaçao to other places he was familiar with. Ray led us on an informative and memorable tour of important sites on the island, especially those related to the island's history during the period of slavery with its freedom struggle, and the influence of Africa on Curaçao's culture. As African Americans with Jamaican connections, this greatly appealed to us. We visited both windward and leeward sides of the island and stopped to view several beaches and a secluded bay. Other stops included Restaurant Komedor Krioyo at Landhuis Dokterstuin on the site of an old plantation. We didn't eat there but hope one day to return and sample its offerings of local Creole dishes. We also visted the Kenepa Plantation associated with Tula, perhaps the island's greatest hero, who led the seismic 1795 revolt of enslaved people. We toured around for several hours. We enjoyed Ray's company so much, we would've gone longer but had to cut it short to keep our dinner reservation. All in all, it was a fantastic way to spend our first full day in Curaçao, especially because it gave us a better sense for the island and places we might want to return to. I heartily recommend this experience, especially if you can take it with Ray who is a terrific ambassador for the island of Curaçao and its people.

5.00Ray was awesome! Would highly recommend this day tour to anyone. We had a fabulous day, saw and experienced so many things and then he recommended a fabulous restaurant for us for dinner. Could have asked for a better tour guide

5.00The office staff was always quick to respond to my questions. Shue was our guide and was so personable as well as informative. He took us all around the town and island and we had a great time. Thoroughly enjoyed our day here!

5.00We loved our day with Juan! He helped us pack a lot into our short time on Curacao (cruise port day) and even surprised us with a few extras. I feel like we covered the entire west side of the island and even had time to snorkel with turtles. He shared some delicious sweetbread he made, supplied bottles of water, and gave us a special souvenir from his own pocket. :-) He knows all the best spots on the island and is passionate about sharing them. Thanks, Juan! Our time with you was worth every minute and every penny.

5.00We very much enjoyed our private half day tour with Juan. He helped us plan our day around the activities we wanted to do and shared some of his local favorites with us. We started our your with the distillery and saw many beautiful beaches, flamingos. Hato Cave, the blow hole in Sheta Boka National Park and many other things. It was a very enjoyable day and I recommend this tour!
