This is the greatest tour for nature lovers that would like to discover three of the most beautiful Mayan sacred spots in this area. From swimming with turtles, snorkeling in an open cenote to explore a breathtaking underground water cave, this is a life experience that you most to do! First we are going to have a snorkeling tour in a place that we consider the Mayan fish sanctuary, a unique geological formation where the water of the underground river flows into the ocean, and sea life from the 2nd world's largest the reef system come to nest in it's rock formations, a paradise of the creation. Then we are going to have a turtles encounter in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Riviera Mayan swimming and learning about this wonderful animals. We continue with a private cave tour, getting into the heart of mother nature, we'll take you to explore what our ancestors used to considered the life's origins, part of the world's largest underground river system. After these activities you will be starving to dead, so we are going to try the authentic local food of this town to recharge energy. 5.00Our group of 6 (3 teens and 3 adults) had a wonderful experience on The Riviera Maya Wildlife Experience. They customized the day to meet our interests and were very flexible when our needs changed. Axel and Marvis picked us up from our resort in a very comfortable and well maintained shuttle van. The day began with a private boat ride to the Puerto Morelos Coral Reef National Park. It is very close to shore, so my worries about motion sickness were not realized. We did two 30-minute snorkels and it was amazing! We saw 2 sea turtles, several rays, a barracuda, and many tropical cal fish. The local expert was very kind and helpful. Back in the van, we enjoyed a snack and refreshements. We were then transported to Toolok Kaa’n, a local wildlife conservation sanctuary, specializing in reptiles. We enjoyed the hands on experience with iguanas, crocodiles, turtles, and snakes. Maestro Ken and volunteer Heidi were great guides. We then got back in the van to drive through a Mayan community to a protected cenote. We had a private refreshing swim in the beautiful clear water surrounded by jungle. We had the opportunity to kayak the other larger cenote onsite, but we were ready for lunch after our adventures. Instead of heading back to Puerto Morelos for fish tacos, Axel recommended a local Mayan barbecue, Restaurante La Pimienta. We all had a plates of ribs with rice, beans, tortillas, cucumbers, and tomatoes. It was a fantastic meal. We felt safe, comfortable, and confident with Axel guiding us and Marvis doing the driving. Axel was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. Everyone really enjoyed the day. I would absolutely do another tour with Jaguar Journey

5.00The day was perfect, from start to end. We enjoyed our snorkeling adventure with Axel and Marvis. While we were in Mexico for only 5 days, this day of splendour and adventure will make up most of my memories of this trip. Trust, passion, gentle, thoughtful, heart-felt, joyous. This is what we were looking for and certainly found it in Jaguar Journey and in this expertly guided tour. Also, Nizvan's communications set the tone perfectly - what you see is what you get, in spades! Gracias, amigos. p.s. too busy enjoying, I don't have photos of our day. Only amazing memories.

5.00We had an incredible experience with Axel and Marcus from Jaguar Journeys! They arranged our private boat tour to Isla Mujeres in Cancun, and everything was absolutely perfect. We were celebrating a birthday, and they went above and beyond by decorating the van—such a thoughtful touch that made the day feel extra special. Their service was professional and prompt. They picked us up from our hotel right on time, and the van was new, clean, air-conditioned, and very comfortable. Axel and Marcus were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend Jaguar Journeys for a private catamaran tour in Cancun. These guys are awesome!

5.00AMAZING!!! Jaguar Journey provided our family of 5 (kids ages 14, 12, & 6) with the absolute highlights of our trip. Axel and his team are amazing, so we booked this excursion at the last minute and it was fantastic. We spent the entire day exploring Cozumel and saw so much more than the standard tourist spots. Once again, we appreciated Axel’s depth of knowledge of Mayan history as he took us to the ruins on the island. But we also loved that he knew where to take us off the beaten path to experience genuine Mexican culture and the best food. Finally, we had the most amazing private snorkeling experience, which was by far, one of our favorite memories. Along the way, Axel was constantly attentive, engaging, and a gracious host. Axel was meant for this job – he clearly loves working with people and loves sharing his passion about history and culture. My kids thought he was the best, and it truly feels like we have a new friend in Mexico. We ultimately booked 2 additional excursions with him during our time in Mexico (posted in separate reviews). All 3 days were the highlights of our trip!

5.00Absolutely AMAZING company. My fiancé and I booked the great snorkeling adventure for day one. Our second day on Isla Mujeres was even better! We did snorkeling and toured the island via golf cart. Both were fantastic days. We felt incredibly safe and very well taken care of. Axel is a real professional and knows his way around. We stayed at an all inclusive resort and these two days were by far our highlights of the entire trip. The food was hands down the best meals we had during our stay. This company needs to be known!! We can’t wait to come back and book with Jaguar Journeys in the future!

5.00From the te we were picked up, on time, until we were dropped off 10 hours later, we were trayed like royalty. Every need was anticipated, each wish catered. The details of the tour were laid out at the start (travel times, tours explained, and a ready openness to adjust the day as we wished. Our guide was, Axel, excellent - knowledgeable, curious and patient. I would have him docent any tour of the Mayan region. Our driver, Marvis, should be a race driver - clam driving in VERY tense situations, knew the best routes for the quickest arrival. Be confident of dealing with this tour company. They are professional, love their jobs and passionate about their guests enjoying themselves.

5.00We had a great day. Turtles, fish, cenote’s and caves, and an amazing lunch. They took care of everything, super informative and even added a little extra surprise bottle of bubbles at the end of the day for our anniversary. Highly recommend.

5.00We loved this tour and would strongly recommend for anyone looking for a personalized experience, and who is looking for a more authentic experience while visiting this part of Mexico. The first thing we loved was the natural beauty we got to see. The cenote (and surrounding jungle), lagoon, and beach were amazing. We have been to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Keys etc... and this was absolutely up there. Second was the service. We booked a private tour with our kid (4). She did not love the snorkeling but Axel did a great job not forcing anything and meeting us as a family where we are at and being very patient and accommodating. We had snacks, water, tissues, etc. But most important was just patience and assistance. Finally we loved seeing Mexico away from the resorts. The lunch spot was a gem that I am sure very few Americans would find on their own. The drive down and around (~90 min from Cancun hotels) allowed us to see and hear about the region. Our guide was very knowledgeable and down to earth and made our trip excellent and memorable. In short, great nature, great service and accommodations for families and kids, and a more authentic experience of Mexico. Would recommend.

5.00The Great Snorkeling Adventure private tour WAS actually quite great! Axel, our guide, and the driver arrived at our hotel a few minutes early and customized the trip just for us. Axel is very friendly and knowledgeable, and his English is flawless. We were pretty low energy at first (tired), and he adapted his energy level to suit us. First, we went to Akumal (a beautiful beach) to snorkel with sea turtles (ocean saltwater). A baby (6 yo) swam right next to me! About six inches away. Amazing. And absolutely adorable. I turned back because I'm not a great snorkeler (claustrophic) but my adult kids saw four more turtles and a stingray by sticking with Axel. Then he took us to an inlet that is an open cenote (sinkhole that’s part of an underground river system). Brackish water—mixture of freshwater and ocean saltwater. Here we snorkeled and saw beautiful, colorful fish and interesting underwater rock formations. Finally, we went to an enclosed cenote and swam through a cave (freshwater). So silent (and private), and the water was crystal clear. Stalactites and fossils all around us and very close to our heads! A beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime experience. (Note: there is a very steep wooden ladder at the end that you have to climb to get out at the end. Could be an issue for some people.) We swam in all three water types, plus ate a delicious, authentic Mayan-prepared lunch with the amiable company of Axel. The tour, for us, was about 7 hours, from pickup to dropoff. Lunch was included. Highly recommend!

5.00Our experience with Jaguar Journey was absolutely incredible! Axl, the owner, was an exceptional guide. With his degree in Mexican History and Tourism, he brought a wealth of knowledge and passion to the entire tour. The day started with a trip to Cozumel, where we explored an ancient Mayan ruin. Axl’s insights about the site’s history made the experience truly enriching. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local seafood restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect taste of the local cuisine. The highlight of the day was the snorkeling adventure. We took a boat ride to three breathtaking snorkeling sites, where we saw an array of marine life, including starfish, stingrays, mahi-mahi, and countless other colorful fish. Each site was more beautiful than the last, and Axl ensured everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout. If you’re looking for a unique, personalized, and memorable experience in Cozumel, I highly recommend Jaguar Journey. Axl’s expertise and hospitality make this tour an absolute must!
