This active, Full Day Tour takes you to the Pristine Waters of Upolu; Piula Cave Pool, Lalomanu Beach, To Sua Ocean Trench and Togitogiga Waterfall.
On the way home we have a roadside stop to view Upolu’s highest waterfall, Papapapatai Falls at 110 metres high.
Note this is an active tour with lots of swimming and scenic sights.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Togitogiga waterfalls has 27 steps to descend and ascend; and some uneven rocky ground. Hiking shoes are not required however you may want to have sturdy footwear for the uneven/rocky surfaces.

Piula Cave Pool
Piula Cave Pool consists of two blue-green, fish-filled freshwater grottoes, only metres from the sea. The pools are hidden in the grounds of the historic Piula Methodist Theological College 23km east of Apia. Fed by an underground spring is the secret to the pool’s incredible clarity.
Lalomanu Beach
Lalomanu Beach, located at the extreme southeastern tip of the island, would challenge the title as the most beautiful beach in Upolu – it has “come and unwind in paradise” written all over it. From the beach one can view the uninhabited yet majestic Nu'utele Island, off the coast to the east.

5.00Samoa is a beautiful Island and Arthur (German born in Germany raised in Samoa) did a great job taking us around the island. Four swimming location was a real treat. The water in the ocean and the trench were warm and inviting. If you're on a cruise ship with limited time this is a must.

5.00With only 4 of us on this tour we had a great experience exploring the beautiful island of Upolu. We were picked up on a designated meeting place outside the portgate, which was easy to find. Our driver guide was a very nice, friendly and knowledgeable guy. The car was clean and comfortable and the places we went to truly amazing. Recommended!

5.00Our tour guide, Arthur, was great. He has a wonderful personality, and is very well spoken. He gave us a lot of local information and happily answered my many questions. He was a really good, safe driver, and got us to most of the places before the crowds. We loved swimming in the cave pool, the cenote, and the ocean. What a gorgeous itinerary! I highly recommend this trip.

5.00One of the most beautiful trips we have ever done! The whole team was very helpful. There were clear instructions in advance about how to get to the meeting point. We were at breathtaking spots... and the best part: the team went to the spots in the opposite direction to the other excursion groups, so we were almost alone at the respective beaches and waterfalls 😍 the food was delicious and there was fresh fruit from the island. We can only recommend this trip!!

3.00The good - We saw many beautiful places on the island and having a picnic lunch at one of our beautiful stops was a treat. The driver was very safe. The bad - The driver and guide talked in their native language the entire time (6 hrs). If we asked a question, we would be given a one or two sentence answer, then they were back to their conversation. We learned ZERO about the island, scenery, people etc. We certainly didn't feel like they had an interest in their paying customers.

5.00This is such a great excursion and we enjoyed four different fresh and salt water swims all in one day! We loved swimming at Togitogiga Waterfall and watched our thrill-seeker guide leap off the waterfalls. Our swim at Lalomanu Beach had a “come and unwind in paradise” written all over it! On the spectacular coastline at Lotofaga Village is Sua Ocean Trench. Sua simply means “big hole” in Samoan, and that is exactly what it is. The 30-metre swimming hole surrounded by hanging vegetation sits in the middle of a lava field. Swimming access via a steep but sturdy wooden ladder was worth the “courage” to do the climb! Piula Cave Pool is a blue-green, fish-filled freshwater grotto, fed by an underground spring. It was pretty cool when a sudden torrential rainfall happened, and we swam deeper into the dark cave to take cover!

5.00A great introduction to Samoa; a nice variety of “water” features. The Trenches being the highlight. Plenty of time at each stop, I never felt rushed. Easy meeting point right outside the port property.
