Experience the world's most haunted city on a ghost tour of Edinburgh and be spooked by one of the city's most infamous sons as they lead you around the dark side of the Old Town. Discover the hidden wynds (alleys) off the Royal Mile and hear some of Edinburgh’s horrifying secrets.

Then, visit what is regarded as the most haunted graveyard in the world at "Greyfriars Kirkyard." Finally, go deep underground and explore the Edinburgh Vaults beneath the streets. Completed in 1788, the series of chambers were used to house taverns and as storage space for illicit material, including the bodies of people killed by serial killers Burke and Hare for their medical experiments.

Journey through over 400 years of history and hear terrifying true tales of hangings, torture, murders and witchcraft. Shiver at the weird noises and unexplained smells that make an appearance after dark!

Dr. Knox was extremely knowledgeable and humorous! He brought Edinburgh’s historic underbelly to life. You can’t take yourself too seriously on this tour! The tour is experiential and Dr. Knox plays his character well, so have fun with it. Note: On the previous day we were late arriving to the tour due to our travel time change error, and missed the tour. They were kind enough to accommodate us the following night with no extra charge.

Tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable however we felt we didn’t get what we were hoping and felt the tour was very short and came to an abrupt end. We assumed we’d go underground through tunnels but went into 2 underground rooms and then told we were done. Disappointed with the length and the attraction but our guide John was lovely

Our host, John, was absolutely amazing - we prebooked and attended to be met by John, and he was absolutely amazing, he embodies the energy and puts it across perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this.

Boring, not enough story telling, excitement or anything worthwhile to recommend. IMPORTANT: It is also very dark in the cemetery, several ppl stumbled/tripped (you can just walk this yourself for free - flash light on)z Instead: ask ChatGPT for history and walk the graveyard. You’ll get the same experience.

I liked it and it was very entertaining. The Alison Pearson guide is excellent and keeps the group very attentive to the activity. In addition to being a witch or sorceress she knows how to tell the stories of Edinburgh and its attractions despite being a very old city...

We had the best time on this tour !! Lafayette was amazing. It was interactive, funny but also spooky. I got called a thief and had my ear “nailed” to a wall. 10/10 would recommend and hope you get Lafayette if you book !!
