Grab your passport, and meet your local guide upon pickup from your San Ignacio hotel in the morning. Your tour begins with an approximate 1.5-hour drive to Tikal National Park, located in Guatemala. Aboard your comfortable coach you'll cross over the border hassle-free. The ruins of more than 3,000 palaces, temples, ceremonial platforms, ball courts, and plazas dot this UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as a religious, social, and political hub for the Mayan people. Throughout your visit, your guide shares historical background on the ancient kingdom. Head to Complex Q and R, where you'll see twin pyramids with altars set in front of the temples. Visit the Central Acropolis, a maze of courtyards and smaller temples. Gaze in awe at the Great Plaza, and see the Temple of the Grand Jaguar, which was built to honor and bury King Moon Double Comb. Here, three rooms are located inside the 144-foot (44-meter) temple. Take in the sight of Temple IV (the Double Head Serpent), Tikal’s tallest structure at 212 feet (64 meters) high. The intriguing Temple II, commonly known as the Temple of the Masks, also sits in this part of the park near the Great Plaza. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Tikal National Park before you explore the ruins on your own. Afterward, your guide transports you back to Belize with drop-off at your hotel in San Ignacio.

Breath taking views whether you want to climb or not. Very knowledgeable guide. Bring a frozen water bottle.

While Tikal was incredible, it was the great staff and tour guide that made our family adventure to see the ruins so amazing! Traveling to Tikal requires many steps, including crossing the Guatemalan border. Our family of 5 felt safe and secure every step with our amazing drivers and guides. Luis was fantastic! We learned so much about the plants, animals, and the land where the Mayans inhabited. Our tour of the park took us all over the ruins and to the tops of the towers. We were able to have a stop at a local shop and the meal included in the tour was fantastic! The food and location were great after our long tour of the park, and truly exceeded our expectations. Luis was an excellent guide and we would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Tikal from Belize! Thank you for the amazing memories in Tikal!

Had an amazing time. Good time of the time allocated. We saw the main temples with great views and a good review of history. The tour guide was very knowledgable. The lunch at the end was very delicious and the vegetarian dish was excelente, too. We would definitely do it again!

Picked up at San Ignacio at 7am and took the short ride to the Guatemala border. There we left the car and joined the line to cross which was very short - 10 mins if that. Met our driver Rudy on the other side who was a true gentleman. Luis our guide joined us on the way. Luis was an amazing guide and made sure we could stop at all the key spots while also missing the crowds. We were back in San Ignacio by around 4:30pm. Amazing trip highly recommended!

This was a strenuous but such an enjoyable tour. It takes a lot out of you but is done in a good way of getting you relief from the heat and to enjoy the area. We had Sergio and he was so great. He was informative and did not push you. Rather we got to enjoy everything at a leisurely pace. It’s rained at the end, so was a saving grace. But be prepared for the heat and the climbs. Make sure you have money to keep buying water and not lugging a gallon of water. Kids will love it.

Well worth the trip. We got picked up in San Ignacio, crossed the border and transferred to another vehicle. After a while of driving we got to Tikal where our tour guide Sergio shared a lot of knowledge. We got to see all the main sites of the city. It was a blazing hot day with a lot of walking but I’d recommend it to everyone. The cool towels provided at the end followed by a traditional meal really went above and beyond in providing an experience.
