  Had a great day out on this tour. The jeep ride to the national park is quite an experience on its own as you see lots of local villages along the way. The national park is very impressive and very beautiful. We had an excellent guide and once we were in the park he knew exactly where to stop to see lots of wildlife. We saw many exotic birds, monkeys, water buffalo, deer, crocodile, jackal and of course the wild elephants. It was amazing to see the elephants in the wild and so close by to our jeep. The elephant orphanage was very crowded when we visited but is clearly doing good work returning the young elephants to the national park when they are old enough. A great day out highly recommended

  A wonderful experience, thank you so much. Pre trip, we were well informed with clear instructions for pick-up at Hambantota port. Upon meeting, staff were friendly and well organised. We were taken to a bus rather than jeeps in case of rain, which was a nice touch. We were given water and biscuits and taken to our first visit, the Elephant Sanctuary. A wonderful organisation, dedicated to caring for elephants in the hope of rewinding. It was lovely to see them being well fed. Next onto Udawalawe Safari Park. Our jeep awaited, six very comfy seats giving great vantage points. Our driver was excellent, having worked there as a guide for sixteen years. He certainly knew where to go, and assisted by taking photos and videos. We saw many breathtaking sights in this beautiful vast park. Many birds, including the amazing bee-eaters. Water buffalo, crocodiles, but especially the awesome elephants. Lone magnifent bull elephants, and families with young. One tiny elephant our guide found was only a week old. We took so many photographs, all reminding us of a wonderful day. We were pinching ourselves, an amazing experience. Many thanks to all the staff who made our day outstanding. We would unreservedly recommend them to anyone wishing to experience a quality trip.

  A brilliant day in a comfortable safari jeep despite the bumpy off road tracks. A great guide and the orphanage was a dream. Zero human contact just like it should be.

  Pick up a bit chaotic but we got there in the end. After that things went smoothly. The driver was very informative and stopped many times to show us things of interest. Wonderful surroundings for the elephants and brilliant for us as they came so close. The elephant orphanage is something not to be missed. A wonderful day

  Great experience. Convenient pick up from the Cruise Port gates, comfortable journey to the Elephant Sanctuary, following by an amazing Elephant safari, with lots of other animals too. The guide was very helpful and informative, the trip was great value. Highly recommended for cruise passengers

  This was a well organized and executed tour. Our guide, Darshana, was knowledgeable and friendly. His was constantly working to make sure that we had the best experience possible. I would highly recommend this tour.

  Great day out, all worked out really well, from pick up to drop off. The safari its self was good and our driver/ guide was very informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend the tour.

  The safari was made even better by our amazing driver, who was not only skilled but also extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife. He knew the best spots to find animals and provided interesting insights throughout the trip. His passion and dedication made this experience outstanding!
