The props and rides are great, but the user experience at shops and restaurants and the outrageous prices compromise the whole thing. When you go to a theme park, you expect prices to be higher, but they were insane. It was cold, so we bought two unbranded hats and two pairs of socks for $75! A single churro is $7. A donut is $4. So that just makes you bitter. Tix for a family of 4 for one day was $780 so altogether we dropped over $1000 for one day. The other annoying thing is how badly designed the user experience was at shops and restaurants. For ex. if you go to Olivanders to get a magic wand at Harry Potter land, there are no prices anywhere! You have to find an employee and ask what they cost. There are different wands but no indication what is inside all the different colored boxes so again you have to somehow find an employee and ask. There are different "generations" of wands too but that's not posted anywhere either. It's crazy. All they had to do was show prices and pix of the wands on the boxes but instead they have huge crowds of confused frustrated patrons. It's similar at restaurants with no employees yelling because they have no microphones, customers not knowing where to go because of confusing signage etc. Also, we ended up going at a very busy time of year so most rides had 1hr waits or more. Altogether we would not do it again.

Great experience, a lot to do and the admissions fee is pricey. It’s ridiculous when writing a review and you are forced to write a huge story, I just wanted to have a captivate 1 line sentence but I can’t and now I have to write how I feel about the process.

If you or your family are into Harry Potter this place is a must, The London part Diagon Alley and Kings Cross station is terrific, the train journey is also very clever and well done as is the Hogwarts end. However otherwise there are a few fast and some water rides, but there is little else here compared to the Disney Parks. There are lots of cheap pretty sad fairground type games which cost - they even charge for the driers after the water rides! Furthermore several rides broke down over the two days we visited, specifically King Kong Skull Island which my daughter never actually got to ride on . They have much less staff than the Disney Parks and those that are there are less friendly and interested. The Spider-Man and Transformers rides are very obviously use identical technology so there are few surprises. Furthermore the soundtrack was lost for the last two minute of Transformers Ride. The queuing information times were erratic to say the least. The limited number of street performers withe exception of the builder drummers, were not a patch on the Disney ones. The whole place feels much less polished, underfunded, and just not as well organised as the Disney Parks. Unless you are very into Potter or can tolerate long queues for fast or water rides often with inaccurate waiting time information and risks of breakdowns don’t bother.

It is disheartening to see so many individuals with disabilities expressing their dissatisfaction with Universal, having to fight for the right to access accommodations that are not requested out of pride but out of genuine need. We visited the parks earlier this week, and I am incredibly dissatisfied with the customer service across all Universal Parks. I requested the disability pass one month in advance to ensure that everything would be approved on time. When the representative called to confirm, she clearly explained that the process worked as follows: I would need to approach the queue attendant to receive a return time equivalent to the posted wait time for the attraction, with the only difference being that I would not be required to stand in line physically. This seemed reasonable. However, this information was entirely inaccurate. The actual procedure required one member of our group to physically stand in line while the rest of us waited elsewhere—completely contradicting what I was told. We arrived at the first attraction and, when we asked for the return time, we were told it was not available and that we should go to Guest Services. When I contacted Guest Services for clarification, the only response was, “This is all we can offer,” which was both dismissive and unhelpful. It is particularly frustrating because obtaining the IBCCES card requires guests with disabilities to provide documentation, including sometimes a visit to a doctor to supply recent information about their condition to ensure the card is not denied, yet the procedure currently enforced—where one person stands in line while the rest wait elsewhere—can be followed without presenting the card at all, making the process both inconsistent and unfair. My outrage stems from the evident lack of consistency and communication among Universal staff. It is unacceptable to provide one set of instructions over the phone, only to alter the procedure arbitrarily upon arrival. Guests make plans based on the information provided by your team; misleading or inconsistent guidance creates unnecessary hardship, especially for individuals with documented disabilities. Furthermore, it would be appropriate for your Guest Services personnel to recognize and respect the sacrifices and extra effort that guests with mobility challenges must make to participate in certain activities. Between the time lost trying to resolve issues with Guest Services—which unfortunately were not resolved and showed an evident lack of concern on their part—the long lines, and the number of ride closures at Epic Universe, these vacations were far from what we had expected. I urge Universal Parks to take immediate corrective action by ensuring that staff are adequately trained, that procedures are consistent, and that guests with disabilities are treated with the respect and consideration they deserve. Clear communication and empathy are essential to providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

On Average is an hour wait 200$ to stand 95 min in line at most rides nothing less than 35 min. You need to use the app to purchase food in moon pizza. Do it once when your kids old enough never do it again

Absolute best park I've been to in my entire life, saying that while knowing i had been for at least 50 big theme parks around the world. The lines aren't too bad unlike Disney world, good rides (very good), the area is just amazing like the themes and stuff, the ending show is just... Wow Recommended! Also the pictures i added aren't the best so...

We have a kid with heart disease who can't stand in lines because he turns purple. Susan and Judy have treated us terrible, denied us a quick pass even though something may happen to her. We have been told that we have to wait up to 3 hours and they do not want to give us anything they have told us in writing. Two years ago they gave it to us and now that it's worse, it's not. This is Epic Universe. Don't go if you're in trouble. A disgrace!!!!

I honestly thought it would all be a bit naff but it was so much better than I expected. The Harry Potter area is incredible (the gringrotts ride is one of the best things I’ve ever been on). I loved the mummy ride, the blues brothers show, simpsons area and ride, and Jimmys New York ride. Don’t bother with the men in black ride it is utterly terrible. Great food and drink options throughout. What’s great is it isn’t very big so you can get round it at a leisurely pace.

Universal Studios Hollywood you should be ashamed of yourself. Denying an AAP for an austic 3 year old!!! Especially since you have approved other children with the same disability. Been on the phone for over an hour trying to convince them that autism is a disability. This is ridiculous
