We stayed at Pop Century and park hopped during our three day stay in December after Christmas. Though the crowds were big, we used our lightning lanes and park hopper pass to make the most of our time.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with Disney’s current ticketing and holiday event policies—specifically at Magic Kingdom. It is already extremely expensive to purchase park tickets for a family. After paying what feels like an arm and a leg just to enter the parks, it is frankly ridiculous to then find out that during the holiday season guests cannot even enjoy Magic Kingdom at night unless they pay an additional $200 per person for a “special celebration.” This type of experience should be included in the cost of a standard park ticket, especially given how much families already spend to visit Disney. How does Disney realistically expect middle-class families to afford an extra $200 per person on top of airfare, hotels, food, Genie+, and merchandise? For many families, that additional cost turns what is supposed to be a magical vacation into an unbearable financial burden. Disney has long claimed to be a place “for families,” yet decisions like this send a very different message. At this point, it feels more appropriate for the logo to be Mickey Mouse holding $100 bills, because these pricing practices make it nearly impossible for middle-class families to enjoy what were once included experiences. This is exactly why my husband has refused to visit Disney for years—he has repeatedly said it is cheaper to take our entire family to Europe than to visit Disney World. Sadly, after experiencing these policies firsthand, I now understand what he meant. Disney magic should not come at the price of financial stress or exclusion. I sincerely hope the company reconsiders these policies and finds a way to make holiday experiences accessible to the families who helped build Disney’s legacy in the first place.

Disney is expensive and the price you pay doesn't match the experience you'll have. We spent 5 nights at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. During our stay at this "Deluxe" resort it seemed like one of the three elevators were not working. This is something other guests noticed too as I heard them grumbling over the long waits. So I ended up lugging my double stroller up and down the stairs so that the elevator would not be our first long wait at Disney. Besides the issues with the elevator we were glad to stay at the Contemporary due to its access to the monorail and a short walking path to Magic Kingdom. We spent four days in the parks. We went to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Using Lightning Lane multi and single passes we were able to get on almost all the rides we wanted at least once. What threw a wrench in our plans was when rides broke down. We received three "multiple experience" credits due to our lighting lanes being cancelled due to ride closures. If you don't know what a multiple experience credit is, it's a lightning lane you can use anytime on "select rides" The three rides we earned multiple experience credits for are some of their most popular. They were Tiana's Bayou Adventure which seems to break down frequently, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. We purchased my 6 year old son the Toy Story Rc car while we were in Toy Story Land. And sure enough, that was broke too. For some reason it wont turn to the right. Overall, my kids 4 and 6 had a good time and so did I. My kids love all things Disney so of course they had fun even if broken and temporarily unavailable was a theme of the trip. But here is the thing, my kids also love Super Mario and after this trip I think I'll try Epic Universe.

We did all the parks and finally Magic kingdom, very disappointed compared to Disneyland Paris! Little innovation in this park, attractions broken down for whole days for a prohibitive price. Do disney hollywood studios instead.

Disney World is the same as its ever been. Innovation is lacking severely in the last decade. Old rides feel worn down instead of nostalgic, black lights cheapen every experience, and with every price increase the experience feels…well, a little less magical. Not *bad* but maybe your dollar goes further elsewhere (including other competitive theme parks in the Orlando area, or Disney’s other international parks).

Dear readers, This report is intended to provide a small insight from our point of view of Disneyland Orlando. We stayed at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in September 2025. We had already bought the 6 day pass from Germany and only had to pick up the tickets at the information desk. This was straightforward and easy. The entrance was rather moderately good. Some of the cards do not work and had to be unlocked again and again by the staff. Every day, a different one of our group was photographed, of course for purely data protection reasons. This had more of a taste of data collection, but was disputed on demand with a harsh voice and much criticism from Disney employees. That seemed very excessive to us. We gave the behavior of the staff at the info center and said that was not to be expected. Here they apologized and wished us a nice stay. We started with Animal Kingdom. We immediately noticed that various attractions were closed and still others had already well over 60 minutes Waiting time immediately after admission. Nevertheless, we went to some attractions and drove some away. If you expect animals here, we unfortunately disappoint. The wildlife shown here is very small and makes the park frustrated after a short time. Food prices were not high, but outrageously high. For a normal hot dog with mustard, a hefty $18 was due. A Mickey Mouse ice cream is $7. The breakfast buffet at Magic Kingdom costs $52 and the lunch buffet costs $62. Children get a $5 discount. Cold drinks start at $6. So when we reached Magic Kingdom we were hit by the next hammer. In the past, Mickey and Friends would walk around the park and you could take pictures with them. We were put in line and then allowed to wait 30 minutes for a staff member to take a picture of us which we could then pay for 54 dollars. That's what we actually paid for. Part of the back of the park was closed for renovation. However, this was not taken into account in the admission fee. On request we were rejected saying that you only buy the ticket for entering the park and not for the entire attractions. If something is just too much then that is just the way it is and we are supposed to be happy with it. No sign of understanding We inquired about the Lightnig Pass to get to the rides faster. Here you wanted 349 dollars extra we have one day per person. That's about three times the entrance fee. This was not at all understandable for us Germans, because you were still waiting for the attractions on the fast line about 30 minutes. Sheer waste of money!!! Next we went to the Epcot Center. Here the main attraction was closed as well as several of the others. After a good 2h we left again because it was almost impossible to drive one of the other attractions. Queuing times for many more than 90 minutes. The last thing we did was go to Hollywood Studios. Just a single sentence. Small park with a lot of visitors and incredibly high queue times. Conclusion: If you want to visit Disney Parks in Orlando Florida, you should bring a thick wallet, a lot of patience and time. For us it was the last time we visited the parks and will look for alternatives. For small children I can highly recommend Pepper Pic Land. A small park just for small children with some rides, water park and many changing facilities. The park is not overcrowded and you don't have to wait long to explore the rides with the youngsters.

I had higher expectations and few were met.(Especially for the price) Lighting lane is a joke and a complete waste of time/money. Very few staff were friendly and helpful. Waited for the fireworks “behind the line” only to be yelled at by an angry employee. Had a reservation for space mountain with the lighting lane and the ride closed. Wasted our whole day. Only used the lightning lane on 2 rides, that included a carousel. Still waited 55-95 mins in line for rides. Will not be returning.. also went to universal studios and sea world during our family vacation and had a blast at those. The quick queue and fast passes are worth way more than you will get in a day at Disney

Long lines, broken down rides, and overpriced food are most of what we experienced today. The drink options are so overpriced that it's unbelievable. Sorry, Disney, there was little magic for us today.

We spent time at magic kingdom and at Epcot. There is nothing like the Disney when it comes to excellence and opportunity in theme parks. Even in near 100 degree weather and heavy crowds we were able to find and enjoy many attractions. Spent the evening at Epcot and go to see the evening lightshow and fireworks. I have been to Epcots lightshows several times and nothing compares to them in my opinion. Great experience. Walt Disney World is always worth the visit.
