Unlike the commercialized Cu Chi, Ky Anh offers a raw, unspoiled experience—a must-visit historical site.

♥ 08:30 Our guide will pick you up at the hotel. ♥ 10:00 Discover "Unveiled Secrets of Ky Anh Tunnels: Walk Where History Hides – Ky Anh Tunnels were established and built during the most intense period during the resistance war against America and remains one of the most historic relics today. The tunnels were dug by the resistance side (Northern Vietnam) from 1965 to 1967 and have a total length of approximately 32 km, weaving their way under the villages, going through houses, straw piles, bamboo bushes and canals to create a hidden, underground world so that the U.S army would not be able to detect them.
Chien Dan Cham Tower
♥ 11:00 Explore Chien Dan Champa Towers (late 10th, early 11th centuries) They are a set of three sanctuaries, facing east, constructed in the late-10th to early-11th centuries by the Champa kingdom. Located on site is a large inscribed stone known as the Chien Dan inscription, which provides definitive evidence that the towers were built during the reign of King Harivarmadeva, though it remains open to interpretation if the king himself sponsored the monuments ♥ 12:30 Have local noodles ♥ 13:00 Back to hotel

5.00A very enjoyable and well-curated tour of the Ky Anh Tunnels & Chien Dan Cham Towers. The standout for us was the Ky Anh Tunnels. Being guided by a Viet Cong veteran who had personally been involved in building them added a level of authenticity that’s hard to match. Going through the tunnels ourselves — slightly waterlogged in parts, moving half-crouched in the slippers provided — really brought home the conditions people operated in. The explanations of how messages were passed and activities coordinated underground were particularly insightful. The visit to the Chien Dan Cham Towers complemented this nicely. The towers are over 1,000 years old, and seeing the craftsmanship and durability of the brick structures up close was impressive in its own way. Our guide was friendly and engaging throughout, and also very helpful in taking photos and short video clips for us, which we deeply appreciated. The tour also included a simple but satisfying local meal — the chicken noodles were a nice way to round things off. Overall, a thoughtful and authentic experience that goes beyond the usual surface-level tour.

5.00Most authentic and eye opening tour I’ve had in Asia. We started by meeting Cham Cham and learning about his family on the way to the tunnels and when we get there we met with a veteran Mr. Ta who built and lived in the tunnels during the war. His stories were incredible. Cham Cham also was able to show us a local restaurant with the best noodles for lunch. I’d give this tour 10 stars if I could and will recommend to anyone in the area!

5.00Cham Cham was an amazing tour guide. He took us to the Ky Anh tunnels where we toured the underground tunnels where soldiers lived for years, it was truly an authentic experience. It was not at all overrun by tourists and felt like a true off-the-beaten path tour. Mr Ta met us at the tunnels, a veteran from the war who worked and lived in the tunnels. We finished at the Cham Cham temple which was over 1,000 years old and then with an amazing lunch of Vietnamese chicken noodle dish. I definitely recommend!

5.00Vincent did a fantastic ob of taking us to see the 32 km of tunnels that were so critical to the local people during the war. We had the great pleasure to meet Mr. Tan, a veteran Vietcong soldier who was 17 at the time and who helped dig these tunnels. He'd lost his parents and brother in the conflict and yet could not be a nicer person. He explained how for them it was a battle for survival and explained some of the ingenious ways they used to warn of enemy patrols and to spot enemy troops. It was an extremely powerful and memorable experience. Thank you!

5.00Highly recommend this tour to the Ky Anh tunnels. If youre interested in learning first hand about some real history of the war, this tour is a must. Vincent our guide picked us up in Hoi An and on the drive gave us some background history of the tunnels and history of the Vietnam war generally. On arrival you meet Mr Tan who fought in the war and actually worked on digging the tunnels for the Viet Cong. He's such an interesting person with a wealth of personal first hand experience to share. Vincent acts as his translator. Then you can go down into the tunnels and experience the cramped conditions. It's our most interesting tour of the holiday so far.

5.00Private tour with a friendly, knowledgeable guide and an additional driver. Met a war veteran who told his story and showed us parts of the Ky Anh tunnels. Good organisation, pick up from hotel was convenient. Very much recommend this tour!
