In this climbing class you will have your first contact with this fantastic sport, which works body and mind in contact with nature. Morro da Babilônia, in Urca, is the perfect place for this class. After a short and pleasant trail you reach the foot of the mountain, an ideal place for an initiation in rock climbing. Your guide / instructor will explain you about the sport, the equipment, the knots used and you will learn the basic techniques that every climber should know. All this with a lot of practice! You will climb a small stretch of rock, between 20 and 30 meters, with a guarantee of many emotions! And you don't go up only once, you can climb at least 3 times to become an ace and take that photo! We will use climbing shoes, chair, helmet, carabiners, brakes and rope. Feel free to ask questions and answer all your questions. You will demystify the idea that climbing is dangerous and requires a lot of strength in your arms. You will understand that the rope provides security and that most of the force is used by the legs. We will have all the patience and attention to make this an unforgettable activity for you!

5.00I'm over 60 years old, I had never climbed in my life and I was surprised that in the sixth lesson of the basic course 1, I was calm and climbing Sugarloaf Mountain. Everything is very safe, thanks to the professionalism, attention and responsibility of Companhia da Escalada and its excellent instructors.

5.00Climbing is wonderful and the Climbing Company is excellent. I took the climbing course in 2015, I stopped a time and went back to doing the revision class. The professionals are excellent, very competent and with a lot of focus on safety! Indicate a lot!
