Great day trip. Alex our driver was a great host and his knowledge about everything was fantastic. Although it rained all day it was well worth the ferry ride over and back which took 90 minutes each way. We visited the Museum and Parliament House instead of the usual touristy things. Loved learning the history of Victoria. Highlight was the Christmas lights at Butchart Gardens. Breathtaking! Would totally recommend this wonderful day out.

I booked a day excursion to Vancouver Island mainly b/c I wanted to see The Butchart Gardens. This particular option appealed to me b/c it included bus & ferry transport, time at the gardens, plus time to explore in Victoria. I’m so glad I booked this excursion. Our tour guide, Bobby Wilson, was great. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area and its history along with great recommendations for places to eat and sights to see. It was indeed a full day as the shuttle picked me up at my hotel promptly at the designated time in the morning, then dropped me off at my hotel 12 hours later after a fun day. I would definitely book an excursion with Westcoast Sightseeing again.

It was a rainy day. And the mist, the clouds and darkish environment on ferry and Butchart gardens made an exceptional experience. Mother Nature treated us with best gifts on this trip.

Be prepared for a potential lack of balance between getting there and being there. Of the twelve hours spent on this day trip, only three hours total were spent trying to enjoy the two destinations: 90 minutes each.

Had an amazing time on the ferry from Vancover to Victoria. The islands we passed were gorgeous. The Butchart Gardens were spectacular in the fall. Visited both in the summer and fall, fall time was totally different. Vibrant colors made for a beautiful place. Walking on the waterfront on a beautiful sunny day with family was the highlight of our trip. If visiting Vancover, make sure you spend a day in Victoria on the ferry, and enjoy the views.
