5.00That it is a world class garden and should be visited by all who visit B.C. The contrast of colour and texture was amazing. We also loved how the lawns were mowed in squares.

5.00Booked this trip as a precursor to our Alaskan Cruise. Full day bus ride and ferry to and from Vancouver Island to visit Butchart Gardens & Victoria. Alex our bus/tour guide was great providing us with historical facts along the way. He picked us up on time at the hotel o/a 8:20 am and drove us 45 mins to the ferry. Along the way Alex talked about the history of the region and the wildlife we saw. Upon arriving at the ferry we boarded for a 90 min ferry ride through the island waters. Once we disembarked our bus took us to our first stop at Butchart Gardens. Butchart Gardens is a beautiful property open year around with wonderful flower blooms throughout. There’s a number of relaxing spots on the property to take pictures, relax or find a quick bite to eat. Our next stop was Victoria a beautiful capitol city on the water. Alex dropped us off at 3 locations, Chinatown, City Center and the Empress Hotel & BC Parliament House. All great stops with very scenic views from the Empress Hotel and BC Parliament House. The BC Parliament House has guided or self guided tours every 30 mins. We left Victoria o/a 5:30 pm back to the ferry. The ferry embarked o/a 7:15 pm back to the mainland. Once we drove off the ferry another 45 min bus ride, getting us back to our hotel o/a 10:00 pm. Like I said a full relaxing day, with plenty to see. If you have a full day available, I’d definitely recommend this tour for you.

5.00This is a very long day (14 hours) but Buchart gardens is a must see. The sights on the ferry were beautiful. Ed, our guide as well as bus driver, did an excellent job navigating us the complexities of the day. He was also knowledgeable and eager to help in any way he could.
