Lysefjord & Scenic Mountain Road Tour
The tour begins with pickup from Stavanger Port, heading to Lauvvik, where we board a ferry for a scenic cruise through Lysefjord. Along the way, admire dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and famous landmarks like Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) and Kjeragbolten, a boulder wedged between two cliffs.
At Lysebotn, a comfortable vehicle awaits to take us up Lyseveien, a mountain road with 27 hairpin bends, leading to Øygardstølen (Eagle’s Nest) for breathtaking fjord views.
We continue to Byrkjedalstunet, where we enjoy traditional Norwegian food and explore handcrafted goods in a unique setting built into the mountainside.
On our way back, we stop at Sverd i Fjell, a monument symbolizing Norway’s unification, before returning to Stavanger Port, filled with unforgettable memories of Norway’s stunning landscapes and rich history.

Lysefjord
Lysefjorden is the southernmost of Norway's largest fjords. The fjord is long and narrow, surrounded by high mountains. Lysefjorden is approximately 40 kilometers long and up to 422 meters deep. Preikestolen and Kjerag are the most famous natural attractions in Lysefjorden.
Preikestolen
The Pulpit Rock, or Preikestolen in Norwegian, is the most famous tourist attraction in the Stavanger region. Lonely Planet has also elected The Pulpit Rock as one of the worlds most breathtaking viewing platforms. It towers 604 meters above the Lysefjord. The approximately 625 square meters flat mountain plateau was formed by melting frost over 10.000 years ago.

Fernando was a true host. We saw some of the iconic sights in Norway in total comfort including experiencing local food and drinks. This truly is a personal tour and worth the cost. To be able to experience these sights with the benefit of a guide who so passionately loves this area of Norway was really special. Fernando was also quite flexible and was happy to change things up once he knew what we had already seen. We would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see these areas in a personalised and comfortable way and we can assure you you’ll enjoy listening to Fernando’s stories along the way.
