The visit is made with a very prepared guide and with an Official Guide card from the Canary Islands government. In addition, the excursion is for a maximum of 18 people, which becomes something very exclusive. Some of the places that we will visit are not off the trade routes so that you can really get to know the island.

Thanks Basso to guide us during this amazing trip. Despite the mist that day still impressed by the natural beauty and exciting roads. Wish to drive those roads once in our lifetime with our Harley. Grts

We booked this tour via Get Your Guide but the tour was actually delivered by Get Holiday. We were picked up by Basso just around the corner from our hotel in Costa Adeje. Everything ran smoothly from our pickup to our return to our hotel. We were in a small group of just 9 people. Basso was our guide throughout the day. He arranged everything from purchasing the ferry tickets and getting us to our mini bus at La Gomera and back. The mini bus was a comfortable 18 seater version and our driver was excellent. We did not have to do a thing other than relax and listen to Basso providing a running commentary throughout the tour. Basso was very enthusiastic about the island of La Gomera and the Canary Islands generally. His knowledge of both was very impressive and was delivered in a very relaxed manner. The views were fantastic. We were lucky to have a very clear day. It was not until late afternoon that we encountered some cloudy weather. On route we dropped off at some interesting places that gave you an insight to life on the island even to today. This is an excellent private small group tour. We would highly recommend it and Basso helped make the tour very special and memorable.

The tour guide was good and very knowledgeable. The tour itself just wasn't terribly interesting. It essentially was just a drive through of the island. I thing for people that just want to stay on the bus most of the time to see scenery from a very hot bus will enjoy it, but otherwise it just wasn't great. Many other amazing activities are available and Id choos them.

Fantastic hike! The simply perfect, very clear, cultured, patient guide to all our questions. Visited the island in a perfect way, you could not hope for better. Above all expectations! Thank you.

Would definately recommend this tour. Basso, our guide very informative and interesting to listen to. Stunning scenery on La Gomera and the tour encompassed many highlights and contrasting climates. I think we also benefited by being in a smaller group rather than the big coaches. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that our lunch stop was chaotic. Just after our small group arrived several coaches turned up and service in the restaurant was a shambles although our tour guide did step in and assist the restaurant staff. Pick up and drop off service for our hotel was also greatly appreciated.

Our guide, Bassa was truly knowledgeable and passionate. We really enjoyed having a small group. We learned many characteristics about the island and its history in the short amount of time. The new visitor center was a highlight for us.

Mini Bus was cramped with 18 people plus driver and tour guide. Seats were narrow and cramped and generally small inside. And bus not very comfortable. Recommend you save some money and go for a normal tour instead of a VIP tour as you will generally have more leg room and seat width on a full size coach. Should really be labelled as “small group” rather than “VIP”. The tour guide and the driver were good. And the island was beautiful. Trip was a little long and instead of lots of on and off would have preferred longer at a fewer locations, as felt like we were always on the bus.

Really the only realistic way to see La Gomera in a reasonable amount of time, because it’ll take you too long to find the good stuff on those twisty, mountain roads. Very interesting contrast in microclimates in different parts of the island. Basso is a good guide and you’ll see everything that’s important in a single day. Don’t miss the Columbus statue in San Sebastián. (This was his last port of call before leaving to “discover” America.)

This is the best way to see this very diverse island. Excellent guide. Not rushed and not too slow. Well worth it.

Nice to visit the neighboring island from Tenerife. The green wet part was really WET on this day! Tour was with small van (20p).
