  Visit of the Gomera including several stops to visit and/or take pictures. Disappointed by the downtime on the various sites that do not exceed 20-30 mins against the 45mins-1h00 offered when buying tickets. Regarding the typical meal, nothing exceptional....starter, main course, dessert whose portions are served in very small quantities. Unfortunately, you spend a lot of time on the bus: a great ride to admire the landscapes that are still exceptional. The excursion lasts about 10:00: taken by bus at 8:45 am and returned to the port of Los Cristianos at 6:30 pm.

  A long but fantastic day trip to La Gomera. I can't fault Island Excursions who looked after us on the ferry from Tenerife to the island. The tour guide was excellent and gave us plenty of information about this small island and then escorted us to the restaurant for a delicious lunch. A memorable day.

• Good tour but a terrible transfer.

  The actual tour was OK. The only problem was that the tour guide kept turning away from us when she was talking so I couldn't hear her, and she had a very slow, soporific voice so it was hard to stay awake! The commentary was in English,French,German and Spanish, which I expected, but normally they speak in one language, then the other. However, she seemed to keep mixing them up, so I think I missed stuff. The real problem, and the reason for the low score, was the transfer from Puerto de la Cruz to Los Cristianos. When the driver arrived, first of all the driver asked us if we had luggage! Then at every stop, there was a problem, the guests weren't there, clearly a break down in communication at some point. He did say it was his first time doing it, and I hope it was his last. He was huffing and puffing and shouting. It took us about an hour and a half to go two miles from our hotel. By then, I was worried we were going to miss our ferry, he couldn't reassure us and drove hell for leather along the twisty turny mountain roads, whilst sighing and playing loud music. I don't normally get travel sick and I've travelled on those roads before but I felt really sick and frightened. When we got to Los Cristianos he just abandoned us in a car park! Fortunately, my friend had the number of the Tour Company and she phoned them and they told us to wait in the ferry terminal. I wouldn't have been able to use the phone at that point as I was shaking so badly. Coming back, it was completely different. We had a lady driver and she drove very smoothly along the main roads with no shouting. It might have taken a little longer but was much more pleasant and I felt safe.

  positives: great way to see the beautiful volcanic island of La Gomera - the roads are narrow so being driven was a very good thing (Yanni was an excellent) It was a good day out and an efficient way to see as much of the whole island negatives: every other tour bus does the same route so prepare to be a small group of 50+! the lunch stop (Las Rosas) also caters for every coach party so lunch was just ok if a bit industrial - to be invited for coffee on the terrace afterwards and then asked for €1 extra was a bit sad. The running commentary in 3 languages got annoying - some quieter moments on the coach would’ve been welcomed. Overall a fun day out

  The initial pickup bus driver very irate, thought we were going to miss the ferry. Bus break down on la Gomera so the itinerary was changed leading to a very late lunch and missing out part of the tour

• La Gonera Day Trip

  Enjoyed full day experience of driving around La Gonera. Had several opportunities to get out of bus and had a good lunch. One mprovements: limit narration to one language. It was in English and French which meant guide was talking all the time on the bus. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

• Lovely day visiting La Gomera

  Lovely day driving around in a comfortable bus and stopping for photos and a nice lunch with a demonstration of the whistling language. Then a chance to walk in a park with the laurel Silva trees and hang out at San Sebastian before catching the ferry back to Tenerife. We enjoyed it very much and it was a good value.

  Excellent trip. Very well organised. Enrique was a fantastic guide, knowledgable, funny and relaxed ( I hope he found his hat). Excellent driving by Pepe along winding high roads. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

  Fantastic day on La Gomera, so well planned by Island Excursions. Enrique our guide was superb with interesting facts, cultural connections, and an amazing energy. Breathtaking views, and brilliant driving by Bepe along the rural roads. We had the very best day!
