The Otlica Natural Window (weather permitting) looming on the steep slopes over Ajdovscina, on the edge of the Trnovo Forest, close to the village of Otlica, ancient forces of nature created a large orifice in the rock – a captivating natural window boasting a scenic view of the Vipava Valley. But don't worry, we make it an easy 20-minute track to it.
Vipavski Kriz
The scenic hillside town will catch your eye from afar. Perched proudly on a hill near Ajdovscina, Vipavski Kriz used to be a very important town and the center of the valley for centuries. The tiny, picture-book town with an impressive wall is one of the finest monuments of cultural history in the country.

5.00We took this tour not knowing what to expect but I have to admit that it was a wonderful experience. First we did a small three sample wine tasting at Guerrilla vinery paired with some local delicacies. Truly nice wine to start the day. Then Tea showed us a small village Vipavski kriz wher time stands still. After this short stop and some windy road up, we had a short hike to a natural window overlooking the whole valley. Amazing! Unforgettable! Then as we build our (vine) appetite we went for the second tasing and this was a perfect way to end the day. 8 samples of vine, amazing food, million $ views friendly owner who is truly passionate about his wine… top experience! Thank you Tea for this - we won’t forget it!
Amazing Wine Tastings with Superb Tour Guide Service

5.00A group of us four girls had no idea what to expect when we booked this wine tour. We absolutely loved our guide, Tia, who gave us a local insight on life in Slovenia. She took us to a local small historic city for us to see and to two local wineries. We stayed at the first winery for as long as we liked before heading to a second winery (which we paid for as an additional cost) where the wine host treated us with such amazing service. At the first winery, we were able to taste 3 wines and we order a bottle of wine to enjoy during our extra time there. At the second winery, we were able to taste 7-8 wines. We were also given delicious snacks to pair with our tastings at both wineries. We ended up not doing the hike due to inclement weather and we had a fantastic time with the views at both wineries that we opted to stay longer than we had planned.

5.00As serious vine lovers staying in ljubljana for three nights we wanted to do some exploring of Slovene wine culture. Traveling with two kids we als wanted to keep them entertained at the same time so we went to vipava valley tour. They picked us up in a new comfy SUV and took us first on a slow hike towards Otlica - what a marvelous sight and a view over the whole valley. Kids friendly walk. After this we explored the Vipavski kriz an after a short stop we went for the wine tasting. In Slovenia this is a totally different experience - there were at least 7 samples of wine while tasting local delicacies...a lot of them. You can see that the owner really loves what he does since he explained everything with such passion. What a great day. Happy to recommend this one to all!
