From Portimão to the charming medieval town of Silves, our guide will share with you the history and culture of the region, showing you famous places and historical landmarks. Birdwatching is also very enjoyable.
As we approach Silves we will sail with the tide, which allows us to go with a very quiet engine. As we glide along the calm waters, you will have the opportunity to discover the feeling of calm that the river conveys. Hop-off in Silves to visit the town for about 1h30minutes.
On the way back to Portimão, relax in a serene atmosphere surrounded by the natural beauty of the riverbanks while sipping on something refreshing. And, if it is a sunset tour you will have the privilege of seeing the sun setting several times across the hills!

5.00Booked through GetYour Guide, we had a wonderful time on the river with around a one and a half stop at Silves. Stunning weather in early March, made all the better with on board refreshments, and company of the mascot Pipoca. Would definitely recommend 👌. Lucky enough to be dropped off at our hotel landing stage ....

5.00Great trip with very competent guidance and explanations by the skipper and the biologist Ana. Excellent consideration for the needs of the guests. I did a tour on the Arade to Silves a few years ago, but this one was much better!

5.00We booked our boat trip from Portimao to Silves via Get your Guide and are so glad we did. The three hour plus trip gave us just over an hour to explore Silves. The small group on the boat gave the trip a very friendly vibe enhanced by the very informative chats provided by Pedro and Anna. Their lovely little dog Pipoca made everyone smile. Birds spotted included storks, egrets, ķingfishers and a fantastic flock of flamingos. We highly recommend this good value trip and are sure you will enjoy it as much as we did.
