The adventure begins with a 50 minutes transfer on sandy roads across rural communities and crop fields all the way to the base of the volcano at 300 meters above sea level. After that, we will hike up one hour to the top 726 meters following a fairly easy trail across the rocky part. Here, every client needs to carry up their board and safety gears or let local porters to do that for a little cost so you can enjoy the hike even more. Finally with your gears on you'll board down the volcano getting back to the bottom in within 5 minutes. After a cold drink we will jump back on our private transport and head back to Leon city.

From Costa Rica I visited Cerro Negro and it was a wonderful experience. The views are really amazing and the tour exceeded all my expectations. Our guide, Guillermo, was simply the best: friendly, professional, charismatic and excellent at everything he does. If you are looking for a quality tour and an unforgettable experience, he is definitely the person you should contact.

Incredible experience, we did it with the children and very safe. Hiking does very well but we paid 5$ per child to ride the toboggan , it's worth it, since for children it's difficult to climb. Great company and our guide gave a lot of information, I would not have changed anything to my day.

The experience was very complete from start to finish, the guide Guillermo always offering the best recommendations and attentive at all times with his great knowledge in climbing Volcanoes, the views are impressive , a unique experience that I recommend to live 100% , it is important to always wear the right shoes (hopefully mountaineering boots) and follow all the recommendations of the guide.....

Fun N Sun travels truly have the best guides! They were so kind and sweet, and we enjoyed the tour a lot. We booked 3 different tours with them: 1) Somoto canyon 2) volcano boarding 3) Momotombo hike, and all three tours were so nice!! We would really recommend this company! They have fair prices compared to others, and they are very helpful and easy to contact on WhatsApp.
We were in good hands for this extreme adventure!

We had an amazing time Volcano boarding down Cerro Negro with FunNSun Travels. The guides spoke great English and were very knowledgeable about the area. We were a little hesitant about the speeds we'd experience going down the volcano but our guide did a great job explaining the instructions and what to expect. Overall we had an incredible experience and would recommend the tour to anyone. One more thing I'll mention is that the tour company is 100% local which is always a priority for us when making a booking. We noticed right away that the company had a nice, cozy feel and prioritized our needs and concerns. It was an awesome day!

It was well organized tour, it work’s great for us specially with having our three kids with us. The guide was awesome, he did make sure everyone stayed safe hiking up and sliding down.

We had the best time on our tour, including volcano boarding, sunrise and sunset hike on telica and camping in a crater. We also had lunch and breakfast with locals and they also brought us a freshly cooked dinner to the campsite. Due to perfect weather conditions, we also had the chance to walk up to the crater at around 8pm to see the magma. Absolutely surreal experience. And of course Guillermo was the best guide we could have, and he’s also speaking really good English. We recommend this tour to everyone, who loves nature and adventures!

You know that by just hearing volcano boarding it already sounds fun, but what makes it even more special is when you live that experience with Fun 'N' Sun Travels! They brought the sun and the fun!!! Wow what an experience, there is nothing like volcano boarding, but with Fun 'N' SunTravels they are so knowledgeable they tell you about the history of this volcano, of their country so you are not just there to slide, you end up also learning about this beautiful country rich history.

We had an amazing time doing volcano boarding! The entire tour was well-organized, and our guide was incredibly friendly and charismatic. Hiking up Cerro Negro in the morning was such an exciting experience, and the views were breathtaking. Sliding down the volcano was pure adrenaline and so much fun. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a unique adventure!
