This is no tour around a wildlife sanctuary. Instead, we head to one of a number of areas where you are likely to see wild kangaroos and possibly some native Australian birdlife. Our friendly knowledgeable guides aka ‘our kangaroo whisperers‘ are the best there are and will convey you to the Blue Mountains or Outer Sydney or further afield where we normally see many kangaroos, playing, eating, sleeping, etc. On some tours, we have seen over 100 kangaroos in the area on one day. These are wild animals in their natural surrounds. Depending on the day and how they are approached, you may see them lying on the ground, grazing, fighting, bounding away, playing, and generally enjoying themselves.
Please note that at times, we will upgrade you to the Urban Kangaroos tour at no extra cost at our discretion. At other times, we will take you to see Wallabies (a smaller species of kangaroo).

If child is less than 8 years, you must inform us prior to the trip so that we have a child seat with us and the tour can take place. This is a legal requirement.
All travelers must sign a waiver of liability prior to commencement of the tour. This is an insurance requirement.

• Pickup from your Sydney based accommodation • With your private tour guide, journey to an outer Sydney or Blue Mountains location where you are likely to see as many as 40 kangaroos. Your guide will explain some of the more interesting behaviours of the kangaroo. • Travel back to your pickup location or optionally another city, North Sydney or Parramatta location (from Parramatta you can take a boat ride along the Parramatta river - ferry tickets are not included). Native birds will often be seen (including sulphur crested cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, magpies, etc).

5.00Our Kangaroo expert Bruce picked us up at Hotel in Sydney, a well timed trip into the countryside near sunset to closely observe several large groups of kangaroos out on the open, a great experience not to be missed by anyone interested in Australian wildlife.
Highly recommend - a fantastic tour for wildlife lovers!

5.00This was such a satisfying and fun tour in every way. We got to see lots of kangaroos much closer up than I ever imagined, including lots of joeys being their typical little amusing selves. It's so interesting to see how kangaroos use their strong tails, and so impressive to see the muscles on the males. I loved seeing them bounding across the road at one point. We learned a lot of surprising and strange things about them all, and it was wonderful to see them behaving in their natural way in the wild. Our guide Bruce was right on time and easy to talk with. I would definitely do another tour with him again next time we're in Sydney!

5.00Bruce was very knowledgeable, engaging, and personable. He had a plethora of knowledge to share about the kangaroos. He's dedicated to educating those wanting to learn more about the animal from the behavior to the life cycle. I would highly recommend this tour and Bruce as the guide.

5.00This is the best private tour I have ever taken. Bruce, our tour guide, was amazing. We saw tons of kangaroo everywhere! I can now consider myself a kangaroo expert after learning from the best. Bruce was so knowledgeable about basically everything and a pleasure to converse with. I can highly recommend this tour. It is worth every penny. Believe me!

5.00This was SUCH a great tour!! It was definitely a highlight during our stay in Australia. Bruce picked us up right on time at our hotel and taught us all sorts of things about kangaroos as we drove out of Sydney on our search for wild kangaroos. I was hoping we'd be lucky enough to see 2 or 3 kangaroos, but we must have spotted over 100 of them! Bruce was very knowledgable and friendly, walking with us and pointing out the Alpha males and females with their joeys until the day ended with a stunning sunset. I highly recommend Bruce and his Walking With Wild Kangaroos Tour if you'd like to encounter Australian wildlife in its natural habitat. We had a fantastic time!

4.00Great experience seeing and getting close to the kangaroos Bruce possessed great knowledge of the animals in Australia and surrounding vegetation. Emotional intelligence of his passengers would provide for a better overall experience and the reason he was not rated a 5.

5.00The driver was so knowledgeable and took us to see so many kangaroos! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. He picked us up right at the front door of the hotel sand dropped us back there. Very convenient when you’re visiting a new place.
