When exceptional situations arise (e.g. weather cancellations) it is important to reach you. This is easiest if you provide your best contact number on the road (phone number + correct country code)
The place where you will be staying at (Hotel, Air BnB or other) in case we need to contact you
Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear appropriate winter clothes and shoes.
A small amount of walking is involved, you must be able to walk 200m or be prepared to wait in the vehicle.

Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the tour itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities)
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 4 passengers per tours. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
The itinerary is subject to change and the viewing locations will be chosen based on the weather and environmental conditions on the day of the tour

5.00We really enjoyed the Fjord Road trip with Ellie. She was an excellent guide and managed to accommodate everyone in the group. The minibus was very comfortable and Ellie explained the tour very clearly at the beginning. The company are very organised and provide a light lunch of a vegan sandwich and cookie and hot drinks. We also really appreciated that they provided the grips for our shoes to stop us slipping on the ice. The scenery was absolutely stunning and we had plenty of time to take photos at each stop. Ellie also took some excellent photos and sent them to us. I would definitely recommend Wandering Owl. We booked several tours with them and, although there were not enough people on some of the days to go ahead with the tour, they rearranged them all for us so we didn't miss out on anything. They are very responsive to emails and very professional.

5.00Our tour with Evgeni was fantastic. He was fun, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour such a great experience. He was very conscious of our safety and drove well too. He took great photos, found lovely locations for us to stop and see the spectacular scenery. I would have happily driven longer and had the tour go on for a few more hours.

5.00At the beginning, Anna gave us a very detailed safety briefing, more thorough than any I had ever experienced before, which made us feel very reassured from the start. Throughout the trip, she was very attentive to our needs and naturally shared a lot of interesting information about this land, helping us appreciate the scenery in a much deeper way. Her driving was also very smooth and comfortable. In the end, we were lucky enough to enjoy sandwiches by a beautiful fjord, which became one of the most unforgettable memories of our trip. I would definitely recommend Anna and the Wandering Owl team’s tour to anyone visiting Tromsø!

5.00Excursions in the fjords incredible: the landscapes were beautiful and wild. We were lucky not to have rain, which allowed us to fully enjoy the breaks in nature. We were also lucky enough to see some wild reindeer and seals. Guide Anna was very attentive, her explanations very interesting and clear about Norwegian culture. The photos taken are also beautiful. An excursion to the top that brought us beautiful memories!

Your knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm made the whole tour both enjoyable and memorable. The scenery was beautiful, and Anna helped us appreciate so many details we would have otherwise missed. 5.00Anna is a very nice gide, gives interesting info about the region and history, nice personality. Managed well the situation when an other group of tourists was on the same spot. Personally i would have liked a longer tour and off the beaten track but it was a nice anyway, Anna made shure off that. Wildlife spotted : seals, reindeer, sea-eagle.

5.00This was a nice scenic tour outside of Tromsø. The tour began when we met our guide, Max, in front of the Scandic Ishavshotel by the pier in the city at 10 am and ended when he dropped us back off at the same spot around 3 pm. We visited several scenic spots such as Stakken, Grøtfjord, Ersfjordbotn and more and got to capture lots of great photos and videos at each spot we visited. We had a nice little picnic stop too in between our stops at Grøtfjord and Ersfjordbotn which we enjoyed. It was a nice half-day tour however we had a little road accident where another van clipped the left side mirror of our van towards the end which prevented us from returning to Tromsø earlier around 2 to 2:30 pm as originally planned… thankfully it wasn’t too bad of an accident. Despite that minor setback towards the end though.. we had a great time on this tour overall and a big thank you to our guide, Max, for taking care of us and capturing great photos for us at each of the stops. If you’re looking for a nice half-day tour of the fjords and landscapes surrounding Tromsø definitely look into booking this tour with Wandering Owl, it doesn’t take up your whole day and I highly recommend it! - Nolan

5.00The Winter Fjord Road Trip with Wandering Owl was hands down the highlight of our trip to Tromsø. A total must-do if you want to experience the area beyond the city: stunning fjords, beautiful beaches, and countless postcard views that make you want to stop for photos again and again. A huge thank you to Ellie — she was incredibly friendly and made the whole day feel easy and fun. Great vibes, clear communication, and just the right mix of interesting information and relaxed storytelling. And yes, technically it’s “just” a bus tour — but honestly, it was one of the best we’ve done. The route is excellent, the stops are well chosen, and the pacing feels just right. You get exactly what you’re hoping for: fresh air, spectacular scenery, and a really well put-together day trip. We would 100% do it again and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Tromsø.
