5.00This was a great and organized tour to see Taipei highlights that are farther from the city. Our tour guide Kevin was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We would do this again if we’re back in Taipei.

5.00Dillian Hsu from Routor Travel is beyond amazing. She was super organized and got us to the Yehliu Geopark before any tour bus arrived, allowing us to take precious pictures without crowds. Then we headed to Shifen Village for the lantern release. She coordinated with the local vendors on the lantern and lunch preorders, again saving us lots of time. Then we headed over to the Shifen Waterfall where she recommended super yummy local eats. Lastly, we headed to Jiufen Old Street and even did a 15-minute food tour with us. All the vendors gave us samples which was quite helpful. I have never had such a smooth tour EVER! Dillian’s attention to details really made our trip. On top of that, she enlightened us with the history and local customs during our bus ride, making it a truly memorable cultural experience. Thanks so much, Dillian!

5.00Great experience, wouldn’t have been able to travel to this many places if I were to do it without a tour. Have cash ready, lots of shops at each of the stop. Lunch not provided but theres food stalls at every stop.

5.00The geo-park is worth seeing but the queue for a photo with the Queens Head was too long as the Asian visitors each wanted to pose and it didn't give others a chance to even get a photo. Next we went to Shifen. My favourite place on the tour. Yes, it had the touristy shops and some delicious street food and this is where people launched their Chinese Lanterns. The railway track and station right in the middle of the street made it more interesting as did the suspension bridge over the river. A visit to a nearby waterfall was next but I didn't go as I've seen lots of waterfalls. Jiufen was the final stop if the day. On our day out it was raining nearly all day and Jiufen was lost in clouds and the visibility was about 50 metres. The Old Street would have been lovely back in the day but it is just Chinese fast food shops, expensive tea houses and shops selling souvenirs. Apparently there are lovely views to the coast on a clear day.
