  This was only the second tour of the season scenic safari had taken and it showed. The trip to the Grand Canyon was cancelled due to snow conditions and we were moved to the Old Faithful route. The transport bus was leaking cold air so the ride was uncomfortable there and back from Jackson. The snowsuit were wet when we put them on. Many of the snowmobiles (sleds) were brand new. Unfortunately they had not been assembled well. A few miles in one of the sleds handle bars came loose and the guide did not have any tools other than a leatherman to try and fix it. Later, one of the sleds overheated and was abandoned on the trail. The snow conditions were challenging for some and there had not really been enough explanation to the inexperienced rider how to drive them so there were many mishaps along the way. One gentleman just kept driving off the road. The guide tried to turn around on the road and got stuck so we had to dig him out and get him back on the road. I finally asked the lady, who's sled had been abandoned if she would drive the sled for the guy who kept driving off the road The guy was so thankful and he got on the back of someone's sled and his son got on mine. We never made it to Old Faithful. On our return, the guide decided that he would tow the abandoned sled back but he did not have a tow strap so we had to wait until someone came by that had one. We finally stopped at a ranger cabin to eat our lunch (15 minutes max) since we were going so slow. We arri ve back at Flagg Ranch with barely enough time to remove our gear and hop on the bus. I suggested to the guide that they might want to issue Starlink Sat phones to the guides since there is little to no cell service in the park. It is clear that the management does not take into consideration the hazards on the trail and what they should be doing to make sure that the experience is a great experience for the guest. The prep of the snowmobiles was obviously poorly done. The lack of support on the trail made the experience mora bout the guests helping the guide than just being able to experience the park

  I scheduled a snowmobile tour which was with Scenic Safaris. I got a 24 hour virus the night before and had to cancel around 5am the morning of the trip. I was told they would not reschedule me due to canceling with 24 hours of my trip, even though I was there toward the end of their season and they weren't busy. They said it was just policy. I wasn't asking for a refund, just to reschedule. So, therefore I was out $1050.00! I would never recommend them, as this is not a good way to conduct business.

  This was a great tour and loads of fun. We loved riding on the snowmobiles and the scenery was fabulous. It started to snow off and on while we were on the tour but cleared up just in time for our Old Faithful viewing. The lunch provided was plenty and tasted great better than I expected frankly. It was an early morning start but worth the effort of getting up before the sun rose. Ree was a terrific guide. She was knowledgeable about the area and the geyers, mud pots, and other things in Yellowstone. She guided us around expertly and safely. The snow mobile suits provided were thick and warm. You wore them over your layers. We did not get cold. We did have neck gaiters and thick gloves so that is a must. The helmets had their own visors so you did not need your own ski goggles. My husband said his boots were warm but I chose to wear my own as they were very warm and I thought more thick than the ones they provided. We had 9 in our group but two were riders so only 7 snowmobiles. We saw a herd of bison around the Old Faithful area which was very exciting as they were very close to us before we moved our snowmobiles. It was snowing so the pictures of them are flooded with snow. My husband and I are over 60 years old and had no trouble on this tour but we are physically fit. Driving is a bit hard on the hands if you have arthritis and following another snowmobile is a times jerky on the handle bars due to the other tracks in the roads but moving a few inches either way helped that. We both drove our own snowmobiles...no way I was letting my husband have all the fun! The heat from the motor helps keep your feet warm and the handle bars are heated as well. The riders handle bars are also headed but not the feet. They will let you switch drivers and riders when you'd like. The helmets fit snuggly but do get heavy on your neck by the end of the day.   My husband and I took this trip on March 14th. Athena was our guide. She was amazing. She picked us up at our hotel and had muffins waiting for us in the coach. She was a wealth of information during the entire trip. Her deep knowledge of Yellowstone made the trip educational and fun. We loved this trip and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the outdoors in winter. In our opinion winter is the best time to experience Yellowstone. This is a A+ organization. Their snowmobiles were top notch and they do a great job of ensuring that you are warm and comfortable. If you are in the fence about riding double or having your own snowmobile I highly recommend having your own. They will make sure you know what you are doing and I promise you will love being in control of your own machine We had so much fun we may try one of their summer trips or the overnight Yellowstone trip. Worth every dollar!!

  An epic day with an outstanding guide (Athena), great snow machines, stunning scenery, and bison to boot! It’s a long day, but every 10 miles or so, you’re stopping to take pictures and look at something beautiful, so it never seemed overwhelming. We dressed for a day of skiing, put their suits on over everything, and we stayed warm, but I recommend over-dressing because of wind when you’re driving 35-40 mph. Oh, and bring snacks!

• Unforgettable Anniversary Adventure with an Amazing Guide!

  My husband and I drove up to Jackson Hole to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Day 1 was this day trip and man, what an awesome adventure. Scarlett was an amazing tour guide and seems to genuinely enjoys what she does. She had so much history and knowledge for each stop we made, on top of timing and planning the ride perfectly to be able to see the sunrise over the Grand Tetons, Old Faithful erupting (and a few other geysers), as well as bison and a couple of coyotes. We were first timers, and I was the nervous one along with a few older folks - Scarlett was very warm and encouraging, it was easy to get comfortable during that first few mile sprint.   Highly recommended. We did the snowmobile tour with Jeff. Leaving from the south entrance and doing the full day geysers and canyon trip. What a memorable experience. Jeff was very knowledgeable about park info and history, patient with the group, and was very good at spotting the wildlife. Breathtaking views were a constant. If you can....GO!

  Had the trip of a lifetime on our trip with our guide , Scarlet. She was so informative, energetic , accommodating and knowledgeable. She pushed the trip through the final hour to make sure we saw all the great sights and took the time to search out wildlife.
