Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show
Calling it a traditional Kandyan dance performance is something of a misnomer as the shows are very much aimed at audience entertainment and contain dance routines and costumes from across the country, including the famous ‘devil’ dances of the west coast (which are very hard to see in their home region).
Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress
Rising dramatically from the central plains, the enigmatic rocky outcrop of Sigiriya is perhaps Sri Lanka's single most dramatic sight. Near-vertical walls soar to a flat-topped summit that contains the ruins of an ancient civilization, thought to be once the epicenter of the short-lived kingdom of Kassapa, and there are spellbinding vistas across mist-wrapped forests in the early morning.

A wonderful tour through exciting places in central Sri Lanka. Definitely lived up to our expectations. Good hotels. Most important was our driver/guide Mr. "Range", a very nice person, always looking out for our welfare and safety. He was also an excellent driver that took us safely through the sometimes hectic and chaotic traffic.

Perfect choice for us. 10 days in Sri Lanka and wanted to cover as much of the must dos. It was fast paced and tiring. So probably not suitable for families that like to take things slow. Our guide Chatu and the driver were legends. He managed to fit in the Kandy to Ella train ride (not in the itinerary). They made the tour a success! I chose a shared rather than private as we like to meet other families and share experiences along the way. Met a great family and that made the trip a perfect one!

Amazing trip! Had an amazing three days seeing all the best sights in Sri Lanka. Enjoyed every stop off and activity on this trip. My guide, Chathu, was great, especially considering he had to step in last minute. There’s lots of driving throughout and I had a great time in the car learning about the country with Chathu. A great way to see the island in a short amount of time! Although the hotels aren’t the nicest, they’re fine for a one night stay. Lunch on the first and last day were to die for!

If you want to visit Sri Lanka, look no further! CJ is a superstar driver and guide and this tour is exactly what I wanted and needed. Having only 3 days, I was looking for an experience that could allow me to see and do as many landmarks as possible. Apple Vacations and in particular my driver/guide CJ were absolutely outstanding! Incredible driver, very knowledgeable, always nice and flexible. If you want to book this, remember to ask for CJ to be your driver/guide. Here are my pros and tips: // Punctuality, reliability, flexibility safety and cleanliness. Everything was perfect. // Even if I booked a group tour, I was lucky to end up having a private one which meant really good value for money. // I forgot my washbag in one of the hotels and CJ went above and beyond to let me have it back. HONESTLY unbelievable! considering the tight schedule. // The tour is very very packed of things to do which it was great for me but consider this when booking. You'll be tired 😊 // You will need cash for most things // You will stay in very basic hotels, although very clean. For a better food experience, you might want to eat outside. Prices are very convenient anyway. Looking forward to booking again with you in the future and have another tour with CJ.
