Enjoy a two hour cruise traversing the deep waters of Milford Sound, located in Fiordland. Your cruise will take you past St Anne’s lighthouse and out into the Tasman Sea. Informative guides point out scenic highlights along the way, such as the Bowen Falls (dropping 160 metres seaward), Sinbad Gully (a classic example of a hanging valley), snow-capped Mount Pembroke, and the awe-inspiring Mitre Peak itself, towering 1692 metres from the ocean floor.

Milford Sound is a not-to-be-missed wonder of the world. Highly recommend Mitre Peak cruises for their smaller, nimble boats that really get you up close and personal with the waterfalls and without feeling too crowded. The crew is friendly and knowledgeable.

A fantastic memory for our anniversary trip to New Zealand. We were both impressed by the maximum capacity of the bookings, which allowed plenty of room for all customers to freely walk around to every location on boat whenever desired for optimal, comfort and viewing. The commentary provided by the crew was also very informative and appreciated.

Wonderful cruise in Milford sound . The small boat made it easy to get close to shore. They also stopped so we could see dolphins. Would recommend and do again

Valued the smaller boat experience, for a more intimate and friendly time. We took the early 9am cruise, after driving from Te Anau in darkness and steady rain. With the sunrise, super abundance of amazing waterfalls along the road (i was driving so missed out on much of it), skies cleared as we boarded our boat at 9am. The rain added an extra special element; waterfalls along the fiord which later disappeared under the blue skies. Didn't let the possible weather deter you. There's indoor seating on the ship, though most of the time we were outdoors on the deck to take it all in! Hot coffee, tea, and cocoa on board. And dolphin escort returning from the Tasman Sea (mouth of fiord). Certainly a highlight on our trip.

Absolutely fantastic cruise. It starts with the spectacular road trip from Te Anaou to Milford Sound (plan at least 2 hours to get there if you want to enjoy the many panoramic views along the road). The cruise was very well organised. It took 2 hours. We spotted dolphins and sea lions. We had very good weather and were able to go into the Tasman Strait. Frequent stops to look at and photograph waterfalls and stunning rock formations. High recommend this cruise!

Ensure you have repellent for the sandflies if walking from the car park. And prepare for an amazing trip!!!! It was even better than I imagined. The seal pup was a bonus ❤️

Really good. Mitre Peak Cruises has smaller ships than the competitors but because of this they drive right under the waterfall and other spots so you have a more intimate experience
