Wavehuggers is an ocean conscious surf school on a mission to teach people how to protect and enjoy the waves we love! At Wavehuggers, we use surf lessons as a way to share the fun of surfing and the importance of ocean conservation with the public.

Learn to surf with a highly-trained instructor and enjoy ample individualized coaching with a 2-hour private surf lesson. Our CPR-certified surf instructors will tailor the lesson to your ability and comfort level while keeping safety as the top priority. The instructors excel at teaching individuals of all skill levels everything they need to know to improve their surfing and enjoy their time out in the water! Our fun-loving instructors will meet you at the beach with wetsuits and surfboards. You'll start out with some basic footwork lessons on the beach and then try your new skills in the water. The instructor will be with you every step of the way - helping you paddle out, catch waves, and improve your technique. Surfing is an awesome physical sport and one of the best ways to spend time outside. Everyone should experience the incredible feeling of catching a wave! Before you know it, surfing might just be your new favorite pastime!

5.00We had the best lesson with Elliot who was an epic instructor and really took his time with us, was patient and very helpful despite the big waves we faced on the day. Would definitely recommend Wavehuggers, their communication was second to none beforehand and provided an overall great experience!

5.00This is Brittney, one of the students, and Brian was amazing he was very clear on instructions and was awesome at teaching us how to surf! Brian was really good at making sure we understood and was able to tell us what we should fix to get a better surf. I already knew that I would love surfing but with Brian he made me understand more about it and made it way more fun than I thought, it would be. I don't know how much Brian gets paid to do this but I think he definitely deserves a raise! Brian if you're reading this I just want you to know that you're awesome and to keep doing this because you're really good at it! Thank you so much!
