We were taken through a small community which had very poor living conditions. The tour of the floating village was a little disappointing. Thought they would take us down through the main part of the village. Stopped at a floating village market.

Great tour - my wife and I rate this as possibly THE best tours: at 3 hours it is relatively short and sweet. But during that time we saw and learnt so much about the nature of the regions and the peoples that inhabit this area. Mony our guide - a local of the area - was just brilliant in describing the land/seascape and pressures on the people. It was just the 2 of us plus Mony and the driver, and we had our own boat to voyage out to the floating village. We were amazed when Mony pointed out a pylon way out to sea which is where the village goes when the tide recedes! We were even treated to our own private galleon - with bar, and amazing views.
Can't praise this tour highly enough!!!

I was the only person on the tour which happened a few times since I visited during the 'off' season and although the skies opened up and it poured for the first 45 minutes or so of the trip, I had a fabulous time. One of the people steering the boat lent me his hat to keep the spray out of my eyes, and the guide was very gracious about answering all of my questions and stopping often for pictures. By the end of the tour, the sun was shining and I was dry.
