Having shared the story of Come From Away with almost a million people, and being partnered in life with born and raised Newfoundlander, Deneen, my passion for this place is what drives my desire to share it. The perspective and connections gained as part of the Come From Away team create a singular experience for my guests:)

All tours hosted and guided by me, Deneen, our friend, Newfoundland music legend Larry Foley, or combinations thereof! All 3 are connected to Come From Away and excited to welcome you inside the story:)

**For the remainder of '25 we will not exceed 6 guests per outing. In 2026, we will be hosting a max of 10 guests per outing. There will be no large bus tours. The personal connections established on our outings are our top priority, and what sets us apart:)

***Please note that all times given are approximate. I won't rush you:) For a moment, you’ll be the easternmost person in North America. We’ll experience the power of the wild North Atlantic crashing against the rocks, the historical points of interest including the massive cannons installed to defend North America in WW2, and, weather permitting, ascend to the lighthouse, with the most spectacular views anywhere.

I had a lovely morning and afternoon with George yesterday! He’s a true gentleman, fabulous storyteller and incredibly knowledgeable. He has a real love (grá) for Newfoundland. When I come back with the better half, I will definitely be doing this tour! Thank you George!

George was a blast!! Using humor and education made our 4 hours fly by! Lunch was fabulous …and I don’t eat fish but I did at this place. Love the family vibe and island friendliness. This was the highlight of our trip! Thanks, George!

We had a wonderful tour in and around St John’s with George. He demonstrated lots of local knowledge and passion for his craft. He gave us terrific recommendations and we enjoyed eating and drinking well in many of his suggested spots. Thank you for making our first trip to NL so memorable!

Thanks to our driver, Larry, we had a fabulous day seeing the sights around St. John's. (It didn't hurt that the weather was absolutely perfect!). Larry didn't rush us as we toured the important places near St. John's (Quidi Vidi, Cape Spear, Signal Hill, etc.) Lunch at a local dining spot serving up fish and chips - delicious! If the weather isn't great, bring a rain jacket/wind breaker as it is usually quite windy and cool, especially at this time of year.

George with his fantastic career in acting; a musician & story telling brings all to the table making our tour experience with him amazing! He showcases St. John’s and the Avalon area with rich historical detail, local introductions and fish & chips to die for. We booked a year in advance (and paid in full) for a private tour for 6 people. His tour says there is a maximum of 6 people and his website also says maximum of 6. About an hour prior to the start of the tour George sent me an email saying that the tour had grown and he would now be using a coach. I called him and he told me that there would now be 27 people on our private 6 person tour. I told him that I wanted to cancel and he offered a refund, which he did ultimately pay. However, this whole thing was so unprofessional. He had plenty of opportunities to let me know that he had voided our contract and changed the terms. I would have then had the opportunity to make different arrangements. I would advise people to avoid doing business with him. He may provide a great tour but can't be trusted to uphold the terms of any arrangements that you make with him, especially if he can make more money doing a ship's excursion. Apparently, money trumps integrity.
