• Poorly Organized Experience and No Communication

  I participated in this experience on the afternoon of December 26, 2025. Prior to the activity, I received an email informing me to arrive at the designated pickup location at 14:29. However, when I arrived on time, there was no pickup vehicle present, and no staff members were there. At the same time, no one contacted me by phone or email to inform me of any changes or provide instructions. I tried repeatedly to reach them via both email and phone, but was completely unable to contact anyone. As a result of this poor organization, I wasted a significant amount of travel time and was ultimately unable to board the vehicle or participate in the experience, and therefore did not see any crocodiles as promised. Even after the incident, no staff member followed up with me to explain the situation or offer any solution. Given that the service was not provided at all, I believe this is a serious failure on the organizer’s part. I therefore request a full refund and a clear explanation for what happened.

  The guide/driver contacted us in advance via the Viator app and WhatsApp, which was very helpful. Hotel pickup was punctual, and transportation was by minibus with three families on board. During the drive, we learned about the history of Miami and the Everglades, and the guide was knowledgeable. Seating on the airboats is quite tight, and from the middle seats it can be difficult to see well or take photos. We saw three alligators during our tour, and the ride lasted about 40 minutes. Earplugs are recommended, as the airboat is very loud. After the ride, there was an alligator show, followed by a souvenir shop visit and transport back to the hotel. The total duration was about 4.5 hours. I recommend this tour.

  Christian was a great guide. He made everything easy. Enjoyed the whole trip. Cool to see the gators in the wild and the rescue ones too.

  

  

  

• Well organized Everglades Tour Experience with a Small Group, Smooth Pickup and Drop-Off, and a Great Guide

  I did this tour as a solo traveler, and had a great experience. It was a small group. Pickup and drop-off were on time, and everything was very well organized. Christian was friendly, communicative, and very informative. He made sure everyone was included and shared lots of interesting insights.

• Trip to the Everglades

  Christian our tour guide was great!!! He was prompt to pick us up and very helpful, the ride to the Everglades he provided visuals and made for good conversation. The airboat ride was very informative about the nature and we saw a gator too.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Excellent tour but bad operator

  Christian and the boat tour guys were nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was great and my family enjoyed it. However, the agent Banana Joe Tours literally had no operator. I make multiple phone calls and only an AI bot answered the phone, but it was not helpful at all. It kept asking me to send a message to the “operator”, I did so multiple times in emails and TripAdvisor messages, the “operator” never responded. The TripAdvisor helpline was helpful, but they couldn’t access details on the operator side. Therefore, my advice is, don’t expect to make any change or confirm pickup schedule details with Banana Joe, they only have a useless IA operator who will do nothing other than waste your time. Make reservations carefully!

  Family of 3 from Boston. Wonderful first time trip to Everglades through Banana Joe tour. Our driver, Raleigh, came to pick us up to our hotel as scheduled in a nice looking van. During the roughly one hour drive explained the various aspects of the Everglades. Quite knowledgeable. He was attentive to our party which made the entire trip start to end very enjoyable for a great first impression. The boat captain himself was also very professional and knowledgeable of the Everglades nature. The entire to and back took about 4.5hrs for us on a December Monday. Highly recommend the tour.
