Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon
Rise early to begin your hot-air balloon experience. Stop into the office for check-in, then ride to the balloon launch site (which varies day-to-day depending on weather). Your pilot begins the process of inflating the balloon when you arrive. You can even help out the crew during the inflation process for a more hands-on experience. As you float high above the ground, enjoy incredible birds-eye views of the Rio Grande Valley. Your pilot determines the route for the day depending on the wind’s direction. You may fly over the city of Albuquerque and even dip low enough to wave at people or skim the Rio Grande River. Throughout your flight, your pilot shares informative commentary about the landscape beneath you. After approximately one hour in the air, your pilot lands the balloon and the ground crew comes to meet you. Celebrate your flight with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a commemorative flight certificate before returning to the original starting point.

5.00We had a wonderful time on our sunrise hot air balloon with Alfred our pilot, Nicole, and Adam! They were such a highly knowledgeable and professional team. We even had the opportunity to help with the set up of the balloon and despite the cold weather, we stayed warm under the heat of the burners. We enjoyed the champagne toast at the end and the landing was like stepping off an escalator. We highly recommend Rainbow Ryders and can check it off our bucket list!

From the moment we lifted off, the views were breathtaking—rolling landscapes, sunrise colors, and the peaceful quiet of floating above it all. The crew was professional, friendly, and made the entire experience feel safe and enjoyable. The landing was smooth, and the little post-flight celebration was a perfect touch.

5.00The guide was obviously expert and handled the balloon with precision. We enjoyed the “splash and dash”.into the Ro Grande; a unique experience to be so close to the river and the gorgeous autumn leaves. Beautiful views.

4.00Got up in the air a little late but it worked out and it was an amazing experience as always. Maybe nitpicking, but years ago, twice we launched from a patch of dirt/desert. This time from the parking lot of a mall. We also got close to the river and floated along/over it. Other than that, still, it’s a magnificent experience and the pilot was good!
