The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, in Cairo, Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms.
The Pyramids Of Giza
The last remaining wonder of the ancient world; for nearly 4000 years, the extraordinary shape, impeccable geometry and sheer bulk of the Giza Pyramids have invited the obvious questions: ‘How were we built, and why?’. Centuries of research have given us parts of the answer. Built as massive tombs on the orders of the pharaohs, they were constructed by teams of workers tens-of-thousands strong. 5.00The experience was shared by four complete strangers at the start but we all got on well with the help of Ali’s charm(guide) and of course expertise as a Egyptologist, I am very happy with overall experience and it was a well organised and educational tour of the pyramids etc

5.00Great tour filled with lots of interesting facts led by the brilliant Ali! Our small group of four was made up of 2 solo travellers and a couple of family members. Ali made us feel welcome and never hesitated to answer our many questions. Very flexible re offering us optional upgrades, including going into the GEM, although Ali later mentioned he preferred the older museum. Learned lots and a favourite part of. Y first trip to Egypt so far! Would highly recommend, even with the extra early start. Try to get a visa before the day as can end up more expensive. Be careful of people asking for tips for just doing their job - eg bag security in Sharm airport.

5.00Had an amazing experience with Wonders of Egypt Tours. The experience started before I even got to Egypt. Every step of the way I was contacted and updated - I never had any questions because they kept me updated all along the process from beginning to end. I had an excellent experience on the day. Our tour guide Basem was polite and courteous and friendly. He had excellent knowledge and he is very easy to understand. Basem answered all of our questions. I travelled with my mother who has a mobility impairment. The tour was not hard on her at all. I would absolutely recommend World of Egypt Tours and our tour guide Basem. This experience was good value for money and a great experience.

5.00A long day, but what a fantastic experience. Ali our guide was so knowledgeable and relaxed and fun with it. Seeing ancient wonders of such size was mind boggling. Well organised from start to finish and a truly memorable day. Midday food was plentiful and very tasty meaning we were set up for the afternoon. Transport was good but a little squashed even for only 3 tourists, Ali our driver was very very good in a crowded and chaotic city!! Would highly recommend from start to finish but it is a very long day so be prepared.
