This tour takes you to all off the highlights in the la Fortuna area. In one well organized day go on a full day nature adventure. Our best, fully equiped bilingual guide, takes you in a comfortable vehicle to all diferent locations. Once hiking he tells you about the surrounding enviroment and uses his equipment to spot as many animals as possible.

Arenal Hanging Bridges
9 high and very long bridges connected by 2 miles of trails taking you through the lush jungle while getting you close to the animal rich tree canopy with the mighty Arenal volcano on the background.
Mirador El Silencio
On this part of the tour you get very close to the mighty Arenal volcano. We start our hike at a wall of lava rocks left there by the 1968 mega eruption. From this point you go up the stairs and trails that take us over wide fields of lava. Under the shadow of the Arenal we keep climbing till we reach a panoramic viewpoint. Besides the volcano you see the Arenal lake, the surrounding jungle and the northern lowlands. Hiking down we pass more tropical forest giving us a chance of seeing more wildlife.

5.00Such an amazing day and allowed us to see a lot of the key places in the area. Our guides Rasta and Roney were very knowledgeable and happy to answerour questions. Manrique the driver made sure we were safe on the roads. It was a busy schedule but we did not feel rushed from place to place. Lunch time food was delicious.

5.00There's a lot of walking, but worth every bit of it. I highly recommend the Mistico Hanging Bridges. Our tour guide was excellent. She was able to find wildlife that we never would have found and took some great pictures through her telescopic lens. The volcano hike gave us a great view of Arenal Volcano, and we loved getting to swim at the base of La Fortuna waterfall (though it was very cold).

5.00A long day full of nice adventures, pretty much the main things to do in the area.Shutout to Roney and Melanie, who were guiding us the whole day, and were very kind and prepared.

2.00I had high hopes for this experience based on the reviews and description. Some inconsistencies to note: 1. Claims max of 12 people. We had a group of 24. They split us into 2 groups to go on the hikes but you are on a bus and stuck waiting for the other group (we waited almost 45 minutes at the bridges). 2. Soo many people everywhere. 3. Lunch was good but it seems all tour groups go there. Not at all like the description. 4. One of the reasons we picked this tour was that they advertised stopping at a local village. That did not happen. 5. Poor organization. Our van from the waterfall to the hot springs was not there. We waited over 30 minutes for them to pick us up. 6. Hot springs were overpacked. Way too many people. Summary: I was disappointed with this tour. 3 hours of the day was just us waiting around due to poor organization and communication. It felt like we were just another group of people who they had to check the boxes for. The activity description overpromised and under delivered. Maybe it was just a bad day.

5.00Cannot recommend this tour enough! This tour hits all of the must see spots in La Fortuna. Had such a great time with our tour guides, Rasta and Rodney, who were so passionate for the wildlife and pointed out all the incredible wildlife and nature! Our driver Manrique for us safely to each stop. We had a lucky day of seeing Arenal volcano with clear skies and lots of animals. Thank you again!

5.00Every part of this day was amazing. Our guide Rasta and driver Trumbo were so friendly and knowledgeable. We saw so many animals while hiking that we never would have seen on our own, let alone get up close pictures and videos. The waterfall was beautiful and we got to swim in the cold water and then warmed up in the hot springs! Would recommend this tour and our guide to everyone visiting!

5.00We had an absolutely incredible time on this tour—honestly one of our favourite days of the entire trip. We got the full experience from start to finish, and we regret nothing. Both Chris(es) were fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around. The schedule ended up being different from what was listed on the website, but honestly, it worked out even better. From the beautiful hikes and breathtaking volcano views to the waterfalls, hot springs, and warm hospitality, every moment was memorable. And the highlight? We got to see a sloth up close! I could go on and on, but the bottom line is simple: you should absolutely book this tour.

5.00We had an amazing day. Our guide, Roney? (Not sure how you spell it) was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did an amazing job spotting so many animals for us. We got great pictures. The hanging bridges were so beautiful. The hike was not too long, but a lot of stairs. My calves hurt the next day. The La Fortuna waterfall was beautiful, but too cold for me to swim in. There were also tons of stairs to climb down and back up again. We ended the day at the hot springs to relax in several pools. It was a fantastic tour and experience. I recommend it to everyone.

5.00Thank you Red Lava Tour! I had a great time, connected with like-minded people, learnt a lot about the locations I visited, and over all - I had a great experience! The day of my tour was a clouldy/rainy day and I did not see the Arena Volcano due to fog, but that was no one's fault and just the weather did not cooperate! I also had great tour guides (Juan & Chris) who did a great job! They speak English very well and are easy to understand, they were knowledgeable, great at what they do and I learnt a lot about the places I visited, and I had a wonderful time! Thank you!🙏😀👍I recommend travelers to take this tour👌
