For thousands of years, human beings had a personal relationship with the night sky—a relationship that, over time, we have forgotten. At **Bajo la Noche de Atacama**, we believe it is time to recover that connection.

We don’t just want to talk about distances, temperatures, and sizes; we want to show you what cannot be seen. That’s why, through a human-centered narrative and astronomical observations with the naked eye and telescopes, we want to create an experience that will bring you closer to the sky.

Our tour includes:

- Stargazing sesions

- Observations through automatic telescopes

- Astrophotography session

- Coffee break with hot drinks, reserve or grand reserve wines, and sweet and savory snacks

- A campfire to end the observation

- A space for you to enjoy the sky however you wish

All of this in an unhurried experience in a natural space specially adapted to respect the environment, free of noise and light pollution.

Our name Bajo la Noche de Atacama means “Under the Atacama night”. We are located in a peaceful place, far from light pollution, and we are people who love to gaze at the stars. During our tour, we will offer: - Naked-eye sky observations with a laser pointers, guided by specialists in astronomy and stargazing - Observations through automatic telescopes of deep sky objects and the solar system - Astrophotographic portraits: at least 1 photo per person + 1 photo per reservation - A campfire accompanied by reserve wines, hot drinks, and snacks We have prepared a detailed description of the experience so you can truly understand what we want to share and be sure this is the observation experience you are looking for. Excellent experience. Ricardo was very engaging and knowledgeable and made our time unforgettable. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

Very communicative, very calming, and an absolutely breathtaking view! It lasted about 2 and a half hours and was worth every penny. You’ll learn a lot and can ask as many questions as you like. Be careful, your neck may hurt because you won’t be able to stop looking at the sky!

The astronomical evening was fabulous start to finish! We were picked up in an air conditioned van at our hostel and drove to a beautifully organized location about 20 minutes away. The entrance was quite dramatic and exciting and we were led to a clearing outdoors where 2 large telescopes were set up. We sat in circle on chairs with blankets, surrounding a firepit. Rodrigo, the host and astronomer, is both highly knowledgeable and charming. We found his discussion fascinating and the crowd was quite drawn in. Then, he showed us several constellations and planets through the telescopes, all the while explaining and entertaining us. After, the fire was lit and we were invited to sample some savoury appetizers and sweets, and partake of some wine or hot chocolate. One by one, couples were invited to have their photo taken, as part of the service, against the backdrop of the stars. It was a magnificent evening, highly recommended.

This is a great tour. Very well organized. The guide was very knowledgeable about the sky and took great care to explain it. The ambiance was excellent with food and wine and opportunity to take pictures while observing the sky. I highly recommend this tour.
