San Pedro de Atacama
Pick-up takes place at your hostel in San Pedro de Atacama between 6:00 and 6:30 AM (to be confirmed). Once everyone is on board, the shuttle bus will head to the Chilean border at Hito Cajón for immigration formalities. After entering Bolivia, enjoy a light high-altitude breakfast while the 4×4 vehicles (max. 6 passengers) are prepared — your adventure begins here! ⚠️ Note: Be prepared for cold morning temperatures and high altitude conditions (over 4,000 m). Warm layered clothing is recommended.
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna As we enter the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna, one of Bolivia’s most impressive protected areas, you’ll discover vast volcanic landscapes, colorful lagoons, and unique high-altitude wildlife. Entrance fee: 150 BOB (paid on site only in cash).
Laguna Verde
Our first stop will be at Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca, two stunning high-altitude lakes located at the foot of Licancabur and Juriques volcanoes. Laguna Verde is famous for its intense emerald color, which changes with the wind and sunlight — a perfect spot for photos and breathtaking views.
Salvador Dali Desert
We’ll cross the Salvador Dalí Desert, a surreal volcanic plateau that seems taken from one of the painter’s dreams. Its strange rock formations and vibrant colors resemble scenes from Dalí’s masterpieces. We’ll make a short stop to take photos before continuing our journey through the altiplano.
Aguas Termales De Polques
We’ll stop at the stunning Salar de Chalviri. Remember to keep your swimsuit and towel handy if you wish to enjoy a relaxing warm dip in the Polques Hot Springs, natural thermal waters surrounded by mountains. Bathrooms and changing rooms are available. Entrance fee: 6 BOB (optional, paid on site in cash).
Geiser Sol de la Manana
Here we can almost touch the sky. Located at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level, this otherworldly site looks like hell on Earth. It’s the highest geyser field in the world, filled with bubbling mud pools, steaming fumaroles, and the strong scent of sulfur — a raw display of nature’s power that feels both surreal and unforgettable. Unmissable!
Laguna Colorada
Is this Bolivia’s most incredible natural wonder? This breathtaking blood-red lagoon, tinted by natural minerals and algae, is home to hundreds of pink flamingos set against a backdrop of volcanoes. Words can’t capture it — just take your time to enjoy the magic of Laguna Colorada. Our final stop of the day is Capina Lagoon, a quiet spot surrounded by mountains, before reaching our hostel in Villamar.

We did the One-Way-Tour from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni, Shared Bedrooms (got a single one nonetheless) English Guide. First of all, the trip is really good, great views and lots of fun. The car is super comfortable and we had no problems at all. The driver was super kind, fun and we had our English guided experience. He drove very well and was super helpful. The first hotel was very minimalistic, super cold, we had no light and were sort of in a room outside the main building. It was okay for one night, but painful for more. The second one on the other hand was super nice, warm and kinda luxurious compared to the first one. The warm shower was great. Overall the food is good, it is what you get on those trips. The organization was initially a bit weird, because we hadn’t heard anything for about 2 weeks when we booked it via TripAdvisor. They didn’t even reply when we contacted them. They have a what’s app number, where they did reply that calmed us down a bit, since we were dependent on the one way trip to Uyuni for our further travel and we were never really sure if it would happen on that exact date. But about 1-2 days before the trip they gave us the relevant information needed and from then on everything went really smooth. We got picked up in front of our hostel on time, went to the border, crossed it and then met our 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser and the driver. Would definitely book it again.

The tour was wonderful. We were a group of 12 people with two jeeps and two guides. The landscapes of Bolivia are unforgettable and our guide, Pedro, was always super and always available and ready to answer all our curiosities and questions. The food has always been good and the accommodations good, with everything you need. I recommend this agency to everyone to spend 3/4 unforgettable days. Thank you bolivia and thank you Pedro! Hasta Pronto!!

Very well organised tour, great communication from the company to coordinate pick ups from hostels and hotels. Mario (aka Super Mario), our tour guide was literally "Super!". He kept to a tight schedule to make sure we got to experience every destination at its finest. Often, we would arrive at the attractions before all the tourists arrived, so you felt like the only ones there. I found it very difficult to find a company that offered a tour in English as I myself do not speak Spanish. However, I was very lucky to have a Spanish couple on the tour who would translate for me. Great experience overall, cannot recommend using this company enough!

Trip was fine, the scenery is amazing and the drivers get you to all the relevant points in an organized fashion. Accommodations are incredibly basic. I learned on my tour that booking via viator platform vs haggling around town meant I spent 3x (granted maybe a little less bc I paid for private room). There are dozens of these tours that do all the same thing. Best price found in town.

We bought the package well in advance, while still in Brazil. The day before the tour we sent an email and the company confirmed it. On the day, we waited from 7am to 9am, with our luggage, on the street. And no one showed up. We tried to contact you via TripAdvisor, email, Instagram and by phone. When they finally responded to us, via Instagram, they said that they had not confirmed my reservation and that they would not pick us up. That I could choose between another day or refund. I chose the refund, which was done at the same time, but it didn't happen right away, just a few days later. And we still had to pay for another stay in San Pedro and look for another agency to take the tour. If you are taking the tour from San Pedro, I recommend buying there, it is safer.

This was a once in a lifetime experience, I feel like we have just visited the 8th wonder of the world. The sights are breathtaking, the fauna and flora are unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere, llamas, vicuñas, flamingos, ostriches, you will see things you’ve never seen before. The star of the tour for us was the visit to the Salar de Uyuni, the mirror effect of the water in the salt ground which reflects the majestic landscape is something to see in one’s life. Jour tour guide and 4x4 chauffeur , Jose Luis was excellent. He told us the right info at the right time and stood back when needed. He took amazing pictures of us. He was kind, and happy to do what we wanted. Equally he was great advice on what to see and pay attention to. I’ve read blogs where people complain that you have to pay for everything (loos, water, park entrances). But honestly what do people think? That places like this maintain themselves? No they don’t, not with the tourist trade they get, so it’s perfectly ok to pay very modest sums to help with the upkeep of this stunning environment. The tour was so efficiently organised. We opted for the basic ‘hostales’ option, and yes, it was basic but in keeping with the locale. The food was great - again, not Michelin star, but exactly what you need when you’re visiting all day!
