The Manu National Park is a protected natural area. It is divided into the core zone, the reserved zone and the cultural zone. The latter is the one we visited in the four days. The Manu is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world and that is why it is one of the most appreciated regions. Here 223 species of mammals and 1005 of birds have been registered. It also holds the world record for diversity of amphibian (155) and reptile (132) species for a protected area.

This day begins in Cusco, where we will take the minivan that will accompany us during the trip. The first stop will be in Paucartambo, a very friendly town where we will have our breakfast. We will also stop to see the chullpas of Ninamarca, pre-Inca constructions. After passing Acjanaco, the highest point, we will descend through the cloud forest. on the way we will stop for lunch and also to see El Gallito de las Rocas, the national bird of Perú. Finally we will arrive in Pillcopata to have dinner and spend the night in our hostel

After breakfast we take our minivan we will visit the Pico de Hoz viewpoint where we will see different birds and hummingbirds, then we will continue. to Atalaya port where we will take a boat that will take us through the Madre de Dios river. Upon arrival at the lodge we will have lunch and after a rest we will go to Machuwasi Lake. In this lake we will sail and at sunset we will look for alligators. Finally we will return to the lodge to have lunch and spend the night.

This day we will visit the parrot clay lick where our guide will explain many interesting things, we will also see many other birds, giant trees, orchids and many plants. In the afternoon after lunch we will have the option of zip-lining and hiking the trails. At dusk we will go out in search of nocturnal animals, insects and amphibians. Back at our lodge we will have dinner and spend our last night.

This day will be our return to Cusco. First we will take the boat that will take us to Atalaya and from here the mini-van to Cusco, we will arrive at approximately 5:30 pm. We will have breakfast at the lodge before leaving and have lunch on the way, after taking the mini-van.

5.00I did a 4 day trip and I think if it’s your first time visiting the jungle it’s a perfect one to do, we were happy with how everything turned out!! We got to see all the animals we were hoping, the tour was very organized, amazing home cooked food and the employees were all great! Our guide Raul was very educational and made my friend and I love the trip. We went hiking for a bit, bird watching, fishing, and wooden rafting It was so much fun. comfy accommodation!

5.00Amazing 2 day trip in to Manu National Park. The tour guide Raul and driver Percy were great. We saw so much wildlife, monkeys, tortoise, vultures, hummingbirds, sooo many birds. The accommodation at Bambu lodge was lovely and the night trek was fun. It really was a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

5.00Pedro recommended the tour to Machu Picchu via Hydroelectrica route understanding my preference to hike whenever possible. He listened to my questions and came up with the appropriate advice. Not only that, Pedro is very knowledgeable of Inca history and relevant places of interest around Cusco. Thanks to Pedro - I was able to visit Saqsaywaman, Temple of the Moon and Kusilluchayoc!

5.00The magnificent treck for Choquequirao went very well with this agency. Pedro at the agency was very patient with all our questions. The guide Jimmy was really good, dynamic, motivating and passionate about the history of the site. Everything was perfectly organized and Jimmy adapted to our pace the steps to limit walking to the difficult hours of sunshine at the zenith. The steps were very nice, we always slept well and ate well with welcoming hosts. Finally, the mule rider who accompanied us was very nice and took good care of his horses, which was very important to us. Everything was perfect! We recommend!

5.0010/10 tour! Our trip was great - comfortable accommodations, amazing food and we got to see a ton of wildlife and beautiful scenery during a short period of time. Our guide, Jimmy, was knowledgeable, friendly and helped provide great insight into local plants, animals and culture. We wished we had done one of the longer treks to experience more, and we plan on coming back. Would recommend Peru Jungle Trips!

5.00We had a great time on our jungle adventure. 3 days, 2 nights. We purchased the tour here in Cusco and the staff was very helpful accommodating the days we were available to go. They also supplied binoculars and a duffle bag for repacking. Very good communication in Whatsapp as well.

5.00We totally recommend to book with this agency and the guide Carlos and his team. The agency was always ready to answer questions and helpful to organize things. The guide Carlos - with good mastery of English - knew so much information about the wildlife of the Amazon and his great experience and knowledge provided a lot of context on what we see and experience in the Amazon. His team (cook and driver) were professional and the food was surprisingly very tasty and healthy. If you think of planning a trip to the Amazon and want to know about the biodiversity of this place, totally book with them!
